This "guy" is Ray Muzyka. His "friend" is Greg Zeschuk. Know who they are? They're the FOUNDERS of BIOWARE. So, yeah: just about the LEAST objective opinion you could possibly find.
Great job, Kotaku: the usual F- work I see.
So the Wii's not dead?
That's... cool. Not sure if it makes up for the fact that going 2 years with only 3 games worth buying, though.
Love some of the fanboy arguments here.
No one would be complaining about the Vita's lack of on-board memory if it supported standard memory formats--SD/SDHC/whatever. It's a big deal because the Vita is a platform built around digital distribution and media content, necessitating the need for large amounts of memory storage, and Sony clearly recognizes that--hence the overpriced "proprietary" memory cards.
Which, from what I've heard, a...
F2P is win-win. I just wish these MMOs would adjust the leveling/content rate to accommodate the transition. I only ever feel like playing STO, for example, maybe 2-5 hours per month... at that rate, It'll take years for me to access even mid-level content.
I can't say THIS really makes me care one way or the other. The whole Origin crap already ensures I'm not going to buy the game--so I won't be buying the DLC, either.
Though I do look forward to playing it.
...That's because it's a procedural drama. Surely you've heard the term before?
And the only good reason for disliking Cole is the same reason everyone has: he's an unlikeable twit. That, and the hamfisted railroading--but that's not really Cole's fault, is it.
Isn't the 3DS still being beaten out by the DS?
Last I heard, both new handhelds were being soundly beaten by their predecessors.
Misleading title.
I agree.
How dare consumers even consider complaining about a service they get at no cost to--oh, wait, that's ****ing wrong.
I'm only interested in 3 of those games. And one of 'em (Gravity Crush) I thought was only a Japanese launch title. Isn't it still several months off for the West?
It may be a lot of titles... but I'd rather have a few great titles than a great many mediocre ones. That said, it's certainly a damned sight better than my 3DS had at launch... of course, considering I haven't touched the thing since September, that may not be so great a point in its favor....
Sony is the king of empty promises. Especially when it comes to backwards compatibility and digital offerings.
After the roaring success hiring a few artists to handle, you know, art in Skyrim... think maybe we'll get lucky and they'll hire some writers to handle the quests in an expansion?
If we could be so lucky.
$140 for a keyboard? It had best be gilded in gold and encrusted with rubies, emeralds and sapphires.
I think Bioware has done more than enough to destroy the credibility of Bioware over the past decade. People who think otherwise haven't been paying attention.
I was excited for the Vita for a while. Not so much any more.
Zero support for PS1 titles? Limited support for even digital PSP titles? I can understand why it's being outsold by its predecessor in Japan: in most respects, the PSP seems the superior product.
Okay... so let me get this straight: they're not lazy, they just don't want to spend the modicum of effort necessary to do the bare-minimum for games this decade?
Isn't that, you know, the very definition of laziness? It's not like they bothered to give the PC version a different GUI... it's a simple matter of being too lazy to port the controls. That's what it is... exactly.
"Everyone's favorite" is an American Revolution setting? Cripes, that sounds absolutely awful. Anyone who thinks that'd make a good setting for an AC game has very little understanding of what actually makes Assassin's Creed games great.
Then again, it's probably just the same, "Amerikker!" attitude that has so many people whining for an American Civil War setting for a Total War game.
Developers dropping support for the Vita? I can see that happening.
Developers dropping support for the Vita in favor of the 3DS? Yeah, right.
...And I see it sailed right over, eh?
Of course it would work!
