...Every rhythym game is nothing but QTEs. That's kind of what they are.
Something that, quite evidently, flew right over your head.
I'd suggest googling "infinity engine."
The Infinity Engine has -nothing- to do with Madden. Or EA.
Good God.

Honestly, it's got an interesting premise... that, IIRC, has already been done--and recently--but I'm not really sure what else it has going for it.
It's definitely on my watch list, but it's not nearly as appealing to me as, say, Gravity Rush, which has that bold visual style and unique gameplay elements going for it.
(Even if the demo was only 30 seconds long).
@noctrnl13: he never said Bethesda made bad games. Quite the opposite, actually.
What he did say was that Bethesda makes bad RPGs. This is very, very true. Quest design is not their forte (at all), character interaction is lackluster at best, and dialog is almost universally flat.
Bethesda games are great games--no argument there--they're just not very good roleplaying games.
@DigitalRaptor: honestly, the 3DS was in a worse position... though, admittedly, neither is/was all that good to begin with.
It is silly how miffed people are getting about it, though. Personally, I think the Vita's doing fine with games like Gravity Rush, Battle Destiny, etc. It's got a solid library of upcoming titles, too. Most of the... dissatisfaction I've seen (coming from Vita-owners) has to do with the lack of Vita RPGs... which is very understandable, and...
Or any other competent developer.
What I don't get is why--and this is true of Star Trek as well--developers insist on shoehorning Who into a genre that doesn't really fit. Who games need to capture that frantic, fast-paced and whimsical atmosphere of the show... and you can't do that with plodding adventure games with half-assed action/platforming elements.
The best platform for Who would be, I think, visual-novel style adventure games ala Ghost ...
Gravity Rush mother****er.
Gravity Crush.
The rest of the update could simply be more removal of current PS3 features, and it would STILL be a good update.
Plus, Gravity Rush costume DLC.
**** Yeah.
I don't care to speculate, but IF Blizzard does not release the RMAH (which literally NO ONE seems to want) then there's absolutely no reason to have the always-online shenanigans... which have been the sole point raised in the massive backlash against the game.
It's entirely possible they might axe the RMAH completely to appease those gamers.
Personally, I'd love to play Diablo 3 without constant latency issues teleporting my character a doze...
Anime is not a genre. It's "engrish" for animation. This is a medium. (And all of these statements are, by the way, factual in nature).
"Anime gaming" is not a genre, either. It would refer more to a particular art style. Star Ocean, Atelier Rorona, Catherine, Nier, Tales of Graces and Valkyria Chronicles all use the same basic "anime" art style. Are they the same genre?
No. In narrative terms, you've got science fiction,...
No, not really. Anime is a medium, not a genre. This game only appeals to that narrow subset of gamers who happen to like that particular genre of anime.
It's this kind of... laziness with language that allows so many people to think statements like, "I don't like anime, but..." and their ilk can be contextually appropriate in any circumstance.
I don't see why this generation has to "end" just because the Wii's sputtering out this year and the 360 gave up ages ago.
The PS3 has a lot of life left in it.
Opinion divided? Everyone that's played it, loves it. Sure, it has flaws, but it managed to combine the best elements of all our favorite western-style RPGs seamlessly. Easily the best WRPG this gen.
(Obviously, BG2EE can't count).
It's actually my roommate's TV.
The point is that games like AC simply work better on bigger screens. The only reason to buy it on a handheld would be if you didn't and couldn't get it on a console.
Capcom made Dragon's Dogma. They get a free pass this generation.
It'd be nice, but I wouldn't buy the game twice and I'd rather play it on my PS3 and 65" screen.
My memory is a bit hazy, but as I recall, the chief reason for FFXII's butchered narrative and empty characters (as well as the obscenely long development time) was that the project leads switched half-way through.
So, in a sense, FFXII was a game without the creator of FXII to begin with.
Their problem was that they invested WAAAAY too much money (and effort) into trying to launch a new MMO. Reckoning turned a profit... so they'd have been doing great had they simply wanted to make a kick-ass RPG.
But, no: they wanted to kill World of Warcraft.
So they molded Reckoning into a massive advertisement for an MMO no one wanted, and spent a ton of money developing the MMO no one wanted, and folded before they could even release the MMO no one wa...
