I just named two of the best endings in gaming history. It was more of a, "I really hate that it's over" sentiment.
To the gaming Media, the PS3 is still frequently portrayed as the "weakest" of the 3 big platforms, and with both the Wii and 360 very obviously winding down....
I tried out some. It was very disappointing. Very low-level gear. I'd only just arrived to teh capital city, and bought some gear with the hope that it would give me the needed edge to beat that godawful merchant escort quest.
But, nope. The random gear I'd found in the... 3 or so areas prior to that were hands-down superior. It's really not worth it unless you're starting a new game.

It is a nice sale. Shame i've alre...
Wait, what? The 3DSXL is a bigger 3DS. No game can be better or worse on it, period. Games can be displayed on bigger screens, and if you think that's a positive then EVERY game looks better; if you think it's a negative, then EVERY game looks worse.
Final Fantasy X, for me. My first FF game. Really wanted to keep playing. Fantastic game.
And I guess Throne of Bhaal. I miss Minsc. And Jaheira. And Boo!
Quality is subjective, but if you want to compare the quality of each library to the other, I'd say the gap between the two widens considerably.
So, what's the current firmware at? I'd check my vita, but that would require bending over and I have -awful- sunburn today.
Anyway, PS1 support in July is a very obvious move. Sony has to, or desperately needs to, offer their customers something considering North America is getting all of -zero- new game releases this month, and no big release until the tail end of August. Our mouths are greatly parched and our thirst need be sated.
That's disgusting.
Well, yeah, if you limit the games you're looking at to a single genre.
Ignoring quality entirely, and focusing on the two consoles solely in objective terms of library quantity and diversity, the PS3 is clearly ahead.

*looks at nothing*
How could -anyone- possibly see this as a fair contest between the two? The PS3 eclipsed the 360 a very, very long time ago. The only way people justify buying, or hell, even owning a 360 is "because my friends have it," or because they enjoy XBL for some ...
How, fanboy Hicken, great job refuting all those points I didn't make!
I own a Vita. I love my Vita. And guess what? I'm still angry that we're not getting anything for an entire month, particularly after Sony went out of their way to promise "steady" support.
Honestly, I'm sick to death of you Vita fanboys getting all butthurt every time someone points out this very obvious, very, um... FACTUAL fact. It sucks. Deal with it.

That's the thing, though, those data caps aren't going to disappear. Like I said, it's finite. Even now, mobile phone companies are forced to basically borrow government bandwidth from the military in order to meet the demand.
Future hardware will be better, future games will be more demanding... which file sizes will continue to increase... but bandwidth will NOT. So eventually we're going to reach a point where streaming games won't be feasible, and even...
Usable bandwidth is finite. Cloud gaming is -not- the future. It may be profitable in the short-term, but long term? Not so much.
They also promised us they'd support the Vita with a strong software line-up, which is why the PSVita has approximately ZERO games this July.
Everything about this game feels a lot like Valkryia Chronicles to me. Not the game itself, rather, but its quality and status.
And since us gamers have AWFUL luck, expect to see a sequel announced sometime next year... for mobile devices and iOS.
Not that I wouldn't love to see a sequel on the Vita, or hell, the PS3... but come on. Has anything this generation made anyone think that gamers can actually have nice things? Especially in the last two years o...
Eh... I played one of the PSP games for a bit. Didn't really seem that good. Really... amateur art design mixed with boring (to me) gameplay and design.
It did remind me a lot of the Monhan games, so I suppose it'll appeal, at least a bit, to those gamers... but to be quite honest, I'm far more excited about the new Ys game. That's the Vita RPG to watch out for.
@Pastorjake: a port, not a remake? Are you sure? I've only played a bit of the SNES version (Wiiware) and am currently playing through the DS version. It is my first experience with the game, so I don't know first-hand, but I'd thought all of the sprites were re-done and that new content was added.
But, hey, for more examples of -awesome- HD remakes, again I'd have to point to the DS and the three Dragon Quest remakes. The new sprite-work, particularly in DQ4,...
Sorry, I misspoke. It's not AS big an issue in Japan as it is in the United States. It's also worth pointing out that most homocides in Japan are caused by knives, not guns, which leads to fewer fatalities.
Basically, I Japan, the most common "big" crime is rape. In the united states, it's murder. So let Japan worry about rape games, and let Americans worry about murder games.
So much idiocy here.
For people trying to justify this as a "Japanese" thing: Western porn caters to rape fetishes, too. And incest. And scat. And all other manner of nasty perversion out there.
Hell, there are Western porn games, too, they just aren't as good.
For people commenting on how the game does or does not "promote" rape...
From what I've heard--nah, just kidding with ya'. I've pl...
They stopped trying to make the games look like the anime with all the more recent games.
Which is a pretty goddamn stupid move. One of the biggest reasons for DB's popularity is, you know, Toriyama art. Remove that, and what's the ****ing point any more?
Anyway, I'm hoping this collection, if indeed that's what this is, is a compilation of -all- the budokai games. If it were JUST the 3D fighters or JUST the 2D fighters it wouldn't be wort...
