@stragomccloud: They're $400 USD + on amazon.
ME3's metascore is more an indictment of gaming journalism than any testament to the quality of the game itself.
I'd point out ME2's fantastic dialog wheel and interrupt system, but this is about elements from "RPGs," plural, and it was only ever in the one game. :(
I'd be okay with one. No strong desire to get one (no games on it I give a damn about) but the idea of digital GCN games is appealing.
...But they're so damned expensive.
For that much money, I'd rather have an ipad.
I agree. I mean, I'm happy with all the great JRPGs on handhelds and all, but there's just something magical about playing a good, colorful JRPG on a big screen.
Only games that have really given me that fix this gen have been Eternal Sonata and Vesperia.
Show me a single gaming site that reviews titles by percentages where 70% is a good score.
It doesn't happen, because 70% is not "good". At best, it can equate to "above average."
This doesn't mean that all games who achieve those ratings are necessarily judged accurately, but these scores have inherent meanings. The real issue here is that gamers shouldn't be so afraid of above-average or average scores... it's most certai...
I... guess that's a good deal?
If they were on Steam, Diablo 3 would be 11.99 and Starcraft 2 would be 2.99 right now.
I agree that Zero Escape VLR is a fantastic game. I absolutely love it.
I don't agree that 999 set the bar that high. It was a good game, don't get me wrong, but very--very--flawed. I think it got a bit overrated, partly because the most similar game to it on the 3DS was Time Hollow, and Time Hollow was godawful.
Don't forget Zero Escape and Gravity Rush while you're at it.
But it's not a good score. By any metric. 70% is a C-. Slightly below average.
Wait, so Haruka's a full playable character? Not just for mini-games? Sounds nice. I really need to get around to finishing Y4.

Again, you're refuting a point that was never raised. Xof never so much as implied that anything re: Nintendo was "all bad." His point was that there were certain elements to the design of the DS and Wii that contributed greatly to their success, and those elements appear to have been ignor...
For the interests of clarity I'll do a point-by-point.

No, he said that was the main reason. Main. And Wii fit and Wii s...
Things like Wii Sports and Wii Fit appealed to the casual market, and kind of created a new demographic. Think about it, what are mom and dad going to buy for little timmy: a more expensive console that will only play games their kid wants to play, or a cheaper console that will play games they, too, would like to play?
I've seen fifty year old women discuss playing Wii Fit. Old women playing video games. Ten years ago, that would have been unimaginable. Nintendo managed ...
You're the only one talking about "running a company."
And your response is just as long as Xof's.
You really haven't refuted any of the points Xof made, instead you've tried to discredit him(?) and make up arguments he never made to refute.
...
Just so you know, most of us here can see right through that.
It's called formal language. It's... necessary for adults.
Why was this approved? There's literally no information here other than "Wal-Mart will have Black-Friday sales."
@aliengmr
@Blacktrc
It's EA. What did you expect?
Is Kiryu in this one? I'd heard there were 3 playable characters... not sure how I feel about that.
But I guess a new cast can only be a good thing. I'm a bit tired of seeing Kiryu getting pulled back into "the world."
The same thing that defines a classic for any artistic medium: the test of time.
That's all that matters. That's why can appreciate art that's thousands of years old. For games? I'd say anything 10 or more years older that people still play and love qualifies as a classic.
