SCEA and SCEU haven't demonstrated much support or faith in the Vita since day one. It's like they think they can make the hardware, put it on store shelves, and that's all they need to do.

It isn't.

You can add Legacy of Kain to Baldur's Gate, Freespace, Age of Empires, Homeworld, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology, and countless other classic games that will never get the sequels they deserve because their development teams no longer exist.

I gave up on it 3 years ago.

The only real argument against it is, "Surely, Sony can't be -that- stupid?"

...A question that has been asked countless times in the past 6 years or so, despite the fact that the answer is almost always "yes, they can."

Fanboy much?

The Vita only has six TOTAL games with release dates.

01/08 Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable
01/29 Ratchet & Clank: Full Front...
02/05 Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
03/05 MLB 13: The Show
03/13 Soul Sacrifice
03/19 Dead or Alive 5 Plus

That's it. And that's pathetic. I think Soul Sacrifice is the only one on the list that's actually a VITA game and not a port of a console ga...

I d/led the game and uninstalled it without touching it.
Then I bought the Spec Ops/Bioshock/Bioshock 2 bundle on Amazon for $5.

Dunno if I'll touch it this time, either.

How long does it take to beat?

The only reason I can live -at all- with Sony's asinine removal of b/c from the PS3 is because PC emulation is mostly workable now.

But PS3 emulation is a -loooong- way off.

It's not, "this may be an issue...."
It's, "THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE!"
And anyone who tries to claim otherwise is either operating off of invalid assumptions or talking out of his or her ass.

And people who argue about Halo or Call of Duty are obviously inferior to those that don't.

...Well, we all knew they were tsundere. Making it this overt... is kind of over the top.

I'm not really a horror fan, but I think the general sentiment is that startles are "cheap" scares, and that horror fans prefer the horror element to be conveyed through atmosphere and ambiance instead of monster jumping out at you from behind boxes and whatnot.

I suppose it's similar to the idea at the heart of all decent horror movies--monsters are scarier when you CAN'T see them.

Whatever happened with Falcom bringing over more PC games to Steam? Are they still doing that? I'd have thought Origins and Oath would have sold well enough to encourage further releases.

Maybe I'm just too impatient? I really want to see more Ys, and other Falcom franchises. Don't they have some of the more Legend of Heroes games on PC? With those games, at least, they could probably do something like what Overhaul Games did with Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Editi...

I think you're overreacting.

Gaming /IS/ a common addiction.

That doesn't mean it's dangerous, let alone life-threatening.

You know what else are common addictions?

Coffee.
Chocolate.
Sex.
Masturbation.
Biting your nails.

It's not a big deal.

I fail to see why this new DMC is so controversial.

The DMC series always had garbage characters in garbage stories with mediocre art design and game direction. Their selling point was the gameplay... and -nothing- else.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too soon to start whining about it.

Or, rather, this is an example of actual Journalism, whereas the vast majority of gaming media only pretends to journalism as an affectation.

Funny, last I saw most "legit" developers were leaving consoles for cheaper hardware that's easier to develop games for.

You know, after leaving PC for consoles for that same reason back in 2005.

Stop living in the past. PCs haven't been the dominant development platform for nearly a decade now, and home consoles can't even be called 'dominant' these days, either.

It's a third person action-combat game in a medieval fantasy setting.

I realize it can be difficult ascribing genre to games because we have to consider both the narrative genre and gameplay tropes... but it's not -that- hard.

Most people have their PCs on a desk and sit with their eyes less than a meter from the screen. Most people have their consoles hooked up to a TV in a larger, family area and sit several meters from the display.

Obviously, that's not true of everyone... but it is true for the vast majority of consumers out there.

It's about perspective. If you've got a 3DS or a Vita or whatever, you can demonstrate the concept fairly well by moving the screen clos...

Just meant Mario Kart in general. Can't speak for MKDS, but I did like MKWii more than MK7. Though the hang-gliders were really cool.

Popular racer for Vita? I can't think of a single racer this gen worth mentioning that's not Mario Kart.

Well, a lot of people like those Wipeout games, and I guess the Vita had a port, so there's that.

But you know what I'd love?

MEGARACE!

Anyone remember those games? They were AWESOME. Bring back Lance Boyle, our favorite fully-qualified dolphin dentist. He's still alive, right?
