@Son Lee: Which is which?
Last Story sounds like the game we already have here in North America, whose combat system I don't like. So that would make Pandora's Tower the third game of the 'Operation Rainfall' trio.
Which I've heard conflicting statements on: sometimes I hear it, too, is coming to North America; other times I hear that it is not.
And is it wrong that your username makes me think of Son Goku and Bruce Lee? ...
This is a game that appealed to me when I first heard about it, but never bought.
I'm glad I played the demo, because I really didn't care for it.
It's an interesting concept, but I think the rhythm and strategy genres are just too disparate to mesh well together--at least simultaneously.
What I love (and hate) about Japanese is that the language itself is relatively simple and easy to understand... but the writing is among the most difficult.
And I say that as a native-English speaker who is studying Japanese, German, French, and Latin.
I hate Xenoblade.
Got to the second big area, and suddenly there are all these sidequests that are dependent on randomized weather conditions.
And since I'm the kind of gamer who can't skip sidequests, I basically can't advance. When I can play, it's basically just me sparing an hour to wait in-game for a thunderstorm, and then if a thunderstorm does happen, trying (so far unsuccessful) to track down the monster I'm supposed to kill, or so...
Me too. It's only a few days away, right?
I do wonder how much content it will have that I haven't already seen on the Internet. Wonder and worry.
So are these characters you can marry actual characters in the story, or just random mercenary NPCs like in Disgaea?
The only reason I can think of: it's like a PSP, but better!
3DS version?
Zelda U and Wind Waker HD are both for the WiiU, right?
So doesn't that mean there's even MORE reason to hope since we know the "new" Zelda game is for the WiiU, meaning the 3DS is more likely to get a port?
And regarding Wind Waker HD... think the game would be able to run on a 3DS? That would be awesome... and I really don't want to get a WiiU any time soon (or ever) ...unless me Wii breaks.
My top 4: ALL OF THEM.
Seriously, though, I'd say the last 5 (main) games are all way up there for me. I've never played a Zelda game that wasn't great.
BOOBS!
*ahem*
Sorry.
I don't know what came over me.
SEASHELL BOOBS!
Sounds really lame, like most of the SD DLC. What I really want is an expansion pack-type DLC.
And then, you know, a sequel.
That they're still releasing DLC seems like a good indication that the game is still profitable. I hope that bodes well for further titles! Easily the best GTA-style game I've played?
That's not really a valid argument.
JRPGs... or, really, RPGs in general aren't really a genre. There is no definite set of narrative, gameplay or aesthetic rules that characterize them. You can't hate all RPGs because the genre is so incredibly diverse. Some play like fighters, some play like RTS games, some play like chess, some play like Dragon Quest, some play like card games.
Because of that, when people say they dislike JRPGs, it very much f...
Really?
I figured most gamers just re-load their saves and try again when something like that happens. A Pyrrhic victory is no victory at all.
Vita's future is blinding... in Japan.
I'd point out why I had to qualify that statement, but I don't want to engage with the fanboys.
Seriously, though, have you seen the line-up of games for Japan? Even just the next three months. Wow.
That's because the original Xbox had a pitiful library.

Educate yourself on why BC is important before shooting your mouth off next time.
I'm not so rigid. I think the only thing you need to have a good villain is simply to have a well-characterized villain. Every character should be a fully realized, three-dimensional person--the villain most especially.
I would, however, agree with the sentiment that their really hasn't been any great villain this generation.
I mean, hell, I've played virtually all of the games worth playing this generation--and then some--and as I sit here, I rem...
Ni no Kuni made me laugh when it tried to make me cry.
You know the scene... with the Mom... early on.
It's that terrible Japanese cliche of the "delicate flower." Well, it's not unique to Japan historically, but we've mostly gotten over it in the West. This notion that women are so incredibly, profoundly fragile that the slightest thing can cause them great harm. Swooning at the sight of blood, being knocked over by a stiff breeze, etc....
Dragon Quest VI surpasses current generation JRPGs.
That's not exactly a good boasting point, you know. That's like if Disney were to market their Star Wars movie by saying, "It's as good as Attack of the Clones!"
Well, my interest isn't just abstract. I have definite goals.
Like, "I want to read Herman Hesse, so I need to learn German." Or, "I want to read Inoue Yasushi, so I need to learn Japanese."
But it is fun. As a kid, I always loved codes and ciphers and things like that, and there's no greater puzzle than human language.
