I live in Mississauga Ontario. Our city's libraries get all major game releases on the week of their release, but there's usually like 60 holds on it. When RDR2 came out, it got around 80 holds on its first day, and I'm like NOPE, I'll just buy the damn game instead of waiting that long
Go back to medieval or steampunk world's. I hate the futuristic crap, especially in FF13.
Life is WAY too short to care about what others think of your hobbies. This includes video games, taste in music, food, sports, etc. I don't think it's a good idea to waste what little time we have on this precious earth worrying about what goes on in the minds of people.

I played through most of the first one and quit as soon as I realized that I wasn't having fun. I was forcing myself to have fun because I enjoyed the FF series. I'm "supposed" to like this game, but I couldn't bring myself to enjoy it. It had no redeeming qualities that I enjoyed about previous entries. This game may as fucking well be called Star Ocean or something. It had no place in the FF main-line titles.
I think it's better to judge games based on the generation of consoles they were released in, rather than judging them through decades like 2010-2020. It doesn't make sense to do this considering many first entries of series started before 2010. A lot of amazing trilogies on the PS3/X360 started off prior to 2010. Games like Gears of War, Uncharted, Batman Arkham games, Mass Effect.

His standards are low... This game has some of the worst storytelling in any FF game. And not just storytelling, but the way the story was presented was even worse! All the key information needed in order to understand the basic concepts of the story are in text logs from the options menu. None of it was actually explained in-game. You were forced to read through the long data-logs of boring text in order to get an idea of what's going on.

No more Rapture, please. I loved the setting when they used it in the first 2 games. And it was nice to revisit it in the Infinite DLC, but it's going to be aesthetically tiresome seeing it a 3rd time in a row in a full game.
I wouldn't mind a 3D remake that a lot of PS1 series are getting (Spyro, Crash, Medievil). Ape Escape remake would be a perfect fit!

I agree with you on this aspect. As much as I love this game (and trust me I love Reach), I have to admit that the story wasn't as emotional as everyone makes it out to be. You don't get to know the characters well enough to actually "care" about them when they die. I didn't really "feel" for any of the characters or grow an attachment to them. If you read the reviews from all the reviewers that gave it "high scores." Even the very reviewers that "love" the game admit that the gameplay is boring. If that's not a giant red flag, I don't know what is.
I knew from the very beginning that the new "Infinity Ward" (if you can even call it that) would not make successful multiplayer maps for ModernWarfare2019. This "Infinity Ward" is a hollow shell of its former self. All the big brains migrated to Respawn Entertainment. Looking at the gameplay, I can see why the decided to scrap the project entirely. It wouldn't live up to the namesake. The game doesn't know what it wants to be. Some levels are racing, and other levels look like old school Wolfenstein. And then there's the underwhelming side-scrolling action. Nothing good would've came from this.
Would love to see them port the Resistance Trilogy onto the PS5.
The Mississauga library has all the major releases, even games like GTA5, Red Dead 2, God of War, etc. It is a desperate attempt to encourage people to use the library system and it worked.
