First of all, there's no need to go name-calling.
Second of all, there ratio of movies to gameplay is about the same in MGS 1 as it is in MGS 2. Play through it again. Tons of codec, tons of cinemas. I love both games, and both games have a ton of "watching" that you have the choice of skipping. You can run around and have fun in MGS2 just as much as you can in MGS1. I tend to think the story in MGS 2 is better than MGS1, but that's just m...

Is this a 40 or 60 dollar release?

Sometimes I just want to see the list and not watch a whole video. Would anybody please post the list ? I'd appreciate it.

I think Pachter is generally pretty knowledgeable. I think his 350k for 360, 500k for PS3 prediction is going to be pretty accurate. Even if the numbers themselves aren't accurate, I do think the ratio will be. He didn't mention this, but GT5 Prologue is going to be a pretty big influence there, too, in my estimation.

I've never finished one, haha.

Level-5 is among the finest developers in the world. Jeanne D'arc was brilliant, but too short. Professor Layton is surprisingly awesome. Dark Cloud 1 & 2 are very good, especially for a couple of first titles. Their Dragon Quest games are remarkable (well, I haven't played IX yet, but I'm pretty confident about it). Rogue Galaxy is fantastic. I absolutely love this developer, and I've been keeping my eye on White Knight Chronicles for a long time, now. Can't wait for it. Hopefull...

This is fantastic news. This means I will be buying both versions of the game, and that at least the portable version will be a bargain!

Fair enough. But I still think it is a very realistic CGI.

@ Kakkoii:

Actually, she looks practically identical to a girl I know in real life. Whether or not she looks like someone you know is unimportant to me, but you're confusing realistic with common. The girl doesn't look like a common person, that's for sure, but her features can and do exist on real people, and the CGI looks pretty real, more so than most I've seen.

2 things:

1) Just because this is the potential end of Snake and end of Kojima as director of the series does not necessarily mean the end of the series, in fact if Konami has anything to say about it, it'd be very likely the series will continue. As successful as the console games are (all of them multi-million sellers), it would be good business to somehow figure a way to keep pumping out the games.

2) Metal Gear Saga vol. 3 could just be a DVD that's released...

The point is that it's realistic looking. Perfection is not realistic. Those girls you see in magazines don't exist. It's photoshop. Real people like this girl. I was impressed by the quality of the CGI. It'll be cool when games look this good in real-time.

I'm getting it for 360 just because my brother is getting it for 360, so we can play online together. Other than that, I'd just as soon get it on PS3. I already know for a fact that I won't be buying any downloadable content.

This is by far the most biased article I've read this year. Wow.
More than half of it is just a long biased attempt at convincing readers that the 360 is a better system than the PS3 and has absolutely nothing at all to do with the game itself. The rest of it, that actually has something to do with the game, is pretty much all based on speculation or rumor. The only factual thing he can say about the two versions is that the 360 will have exclusive DLC and the PS3 will not. But you...

I don't know what some of you are talking about. It's a piece of pie finding a match. Piece of cake. What's the correct phrase? I dunno. There's plenty of people playing online, but of course the more the merrier.

Well the guy points out Rainbow Six Vegas 2 specifically. He says it's broken on PS3. What he neglects to mention is that it's broken on 360 as well. So if it's so much easier and foolproof and headache free on the 360, why does it also suffer from matchmaking issues?

I was a fan of Gears. I hated its multiplayer at first, then I got a new roommate and he played it online despite my warnings and he became very addicted to it. Watching him play it all the time, I decided I'd try it again and had a blast. We'd switch off round after round for hours each night for like a month. Had a blast with it. Before we got into it online we had a blast with it in 2-player co-op. The single-player non-co-op experience is the most lacking aspect of the game, but eve...

Ageed. Warhawk is an amazing game, and I hope the lower price gets some folks to buy it.

Personally, MGS 2 is my favorite. I loved the story. If it were any other game with any other story, I'd have hated that long sequence of cutscenes at the end. But I have such huge adoration for the plot, storytelling, characterization, events, and intrigue of MGS 2 that I can forgive it. The whole deal was just so brilliantly told in my opinion. Too bad Kojima took such massive risks with it that it turned people off. I didn't particularly like it when I first played it, myself. But I...

This guy has no credibility in my book. Cnet? Who cares about Cnet. Don Reisinger? Never heard of him.

Some people happen to like the story of the Metal Gear games. Some people happen to enjoy the cinematic cutscenes of MGS and Final Fantasy. Sometimes we play a game for that as much as the gameplay, just like sometimes we watch a comedy when we want to laugh or thriller when we want suspense. Different strokes for different folks.

That said, making cutscen...

Uh, you're making it out to be a lot more difficult than it actually is.

There is a clearly labeled plastic cover on the side of the PS3 that says "Detach this cover when removing the hard disk." You detach it and there's a screw to remove, then you see the hard drive, and nothing else. There's no need to identify the hard drive, because it's the only thing you see. You pull it out, put in the new one, and screw the screw back on, put the cover back on, and done. ...
