Stupid. They might as well have just left off the GTA IV tone of this and called the article "Why you should buy a 360 and not a PS3."
More comfortable controller? That's an opinion. I personally disagree with it. Love the DualShock 3 and think it's a better controller than the 360 one, but that's my opinion and I can appreciate people who disagree with it. Like it or not, there simply is no objective truth to which controller is better. It's subjective.

Didn't you see 2001: A Space Odyssey? Pretty sure "the weapon" was the first invention! Who knows...
I'm OK with a goreless DC vs. MK game, as long as it's fun. Though I do question why they make it Mortal Kombat related at all if they weren't going to include the blood and gore, which is a staple of the series. There may not be fatalities, but I hope they have something in their place that's a cool non-gory finishing move of some type.
Actually, maybe I am starting to question why exactly they are doing this and not just making a game that's all DC characters brawling it ou...
Obviously. As if there was ever any question more 360 games get rented than any other. Two simple words: Achievement whores.
I find it exciting that they had this game under wraps all this time, nobody knew about it, and it's already just a couple of months away from release and a week away from releasing a demo. That's pretty cool. Makes me curious what other stuff they've got under the table that we'll learn about soon.
Indeed. I'm always up for a new horror game, so I'll definitely be trying out this demo next week.
It's possible, though I'm not sure how likely. The audio samples that were on the teaser website were all in English.
I noticed something: Pachter, pretty far off... VGChartz, not too far off. Pachter predicted a pretty decent advantage of PS3 this month, and VGChartz predicted a very miniscule advantage of 360. Looks like VGChartz was correct.
Maybe from now on when VGChartz data gets posted people won't cry so much about how unreliable their numbers are. They're not that bad. Their ratios and rankings for each systems' performance was pretty darn close with their North American hardwar...
Definitely agree that this looks radically different. The only thing in this screen shot that gives me the slightest indication that it's a Gears of War game is the abandoned automobile: looks just like the ones littering the original game.
Not impressed with the graphics at all. Doesn't look any better than ... most games that have come out in 2008 so far. Weird selection for a first direct-feed screen shot. The video of the new UE3 technology with the destructible environments, etc., looked way cooler. This is pretty lackluster in my opinion. The painting is pretty sweet looking though. What's with that character design? Doesn't look all that appropriate up against the art & design style of the first game. Kind of a...
Seriously? Does anybody remember the times when they had the 360 over-estimated with all of their press releases? They'd say more 360's sold than any other source, and fewer PS3's, and so went for software, respectively. I don't know if that was a bias and they were doing it on purpose, or if they just had somehow differing sources than those other data trackers who get all the respect. Either way, have the tides turned? Are they more accurate, or are they still over-estimating the 360? ...
@ The KungFool
Well, I see what you're saying. I never said that the 360 would continue to do exactly as it's doing likewise the PS3. I merely said "At that rate..." (a couple of times), so I was just doing the math for the current rate. That's all, and it's not what I actually believe will happen. I see the PS3 closing the gap even faster as time goes on (selling better while 360 sells either the same or not as well).
I am all for a way to display your trophies so friends can see them and so I can see my friends', but an arbitrary score attributed to each trophy that combines into a total aggregate "score" of my videogaming accomplishments... that really doesn't appeal to me at all. In fact, I'd prefer it not be there. Being able to prove to my friends that I've done certain things in certain games is awesome, but when you introduce numbers into the mix, I feel that it encourages people to play...
GiantEnemyCrab, if you can think of a better source I'd love to know about it. VGChartz isn't perfect, but it isn't that far off, either. It's a decent barometer of what's going on.
It's really quite astonishing how the 360 had such a drastic price drop in Europe and it still can't manage to any better.
First of all, the worldwide gap is 6.5 million, not 7 million (half a million is 8% of 6.5 million, so to round that up to 7 is pretty significant and falsifies the numbers). Second of all, if you're going to use the worldwide lead that 360 has, then you need to use the worldwide difference for March sales, not the US difference.
The worldwide difference was 274,664 more PS3's than 360's, according to VGChartz (That's for the week beginning March 1 to the week ending April 5, ...
@ 11.1
If you check out the VGChartz numbers, the PS3 is selling between 85 and 90% as much software as the 360 each week and has been for the last month (maybe longer, I only looked up the numbers for the past month). Since the PS3 only has about 65% as many consoles out there, that means that a greater percentage of PS3 owners are buying games compared to 360 owners. In other words, the PS3 attachment rate is growing faster than the 360's.
@ 1.3:
According to this prediction, the PS3 outsold the 360 by 55,000 units, and that's just in North America. At that rate, it's 660,000 a year. At which rate, it would catch up to the 360 in 10 years. However, that's just North America. The PS3 is outselling the 360 in Europe and Japan as well, so that gap is being closed faster than you think. So, all in all, +55,000 over the competition in just one region (by the way, the competitions' most successful region), is prett...
OK, seriously, how come I have 0 agrees and 2 disagrees on my comment for pointing out the facts?
1) PS2 outsold 360 and PS3 in March
2) 360 and PS3 sold nearly identical amounts
Those two facts are only facts as based on the VGChartz numbers, and those are only a prediction of what the NPD will be. I pointed those things out because of the guy with the 5th post who was talking about how the PS3 is a failure because the PS2 outsold it. Again: the PS2 out...
Yeah. Again: they actually comaplained that the length of the charge cable for the PS3 is too short. Nevermind the fact that it actually COMES WITH ONE. The 360 doesn't come with one. If the one that comes with the PS3 isn't long enough for you, it's Just A USB Mini-B 5-Pin Cable. Simple. Go out and buy a longer one. I bought a 16 footer for 2 bucks online. Much cheaper than buying a battery pack & cable from Microsoft, which are proprietary so you have no choice in the matter, j...
