From the article: "Even with 50 gigabytes of storage space, PS3 gamers will never have access to content that couldn't fit on a standard DVD."
False.
Some people just make no sense to me whatsoever. You care enough about games to spend your days on a game-specific site like this, but somehow can't see how any of the 19 games listed could be good? Pathetic trolling fanboys.
Ooooooooo
I just don't get the appeal of GTA IV.
I got it when GTA III came out, and I even understood it up through San Andreas. It was quirky and weird with a ridiculous sense of humor. San Andreas started to get too serious in the story department, but it was still fun because they expanded the scope of what Grand Theft Auto gameplay could be: they made it part RPG, and vastly expanded the exploration and adventure aspects by opening up an entire state for your enjoyment.

Gears was an interesting game, graphically. The first level was really boring in design and had some poor quality textures, but as soon as chapter 2 began, I was like "Yeah, this game looks a lot better than the first Gears of War did." That said, the art design throughout the game is really boring. It's good taken individually, but it all just runs together. Somehow they managed to take vast outdoor environments, forests, snowy mountaintops, indoor facilities, and underground c...
Agent, are you joking? People thought GTA IV looked good... this game blows it out of the water in the graphics department. And it's an open-world free-roam adventure, too.
Ummm, no. The iPhone has yet to produce graphics anywhere near the quality of God of War Chains of Olympus, for one, and secondly, the iPhone isn't nearly as versatile without a d-pad OR analog stick. There are tons of games out there that just wouldn't work on an iPhone for that reason, and therefore, the PSP will get those games.
This is old news anyway.
Seriously... how is ANYBODY excited for "Prototype?" It comes from a developer with a long history of mediocre games. Some would say that The Incredible Hulk or Scarface were good, and fine, I can see people having some fun with those. But Sucker Punch is a great developer, and they're already showing off InFamous, and it's looking really good... Prototype is still in... erm, well, prototype phase, it would seem (ok, I admit it, the pun was intentional). I'm excited for InFamous...
Yeah this game looks awesome. Given Sega's track record with the series, I'd expect this game to hit America no sooner than Fall of 2010.
Such a shame. A great team of developers close their doors all because of ONE GAME that the media believed was a bad game. I played Haze and I really liked it. Such an unneccesarily bad rap. Huge world that you could play without seeing a single loading screen from beginning-to-end, and it had a good story and some unique and interesting play mechanics. The graphics weren't that good, but the gameplay was really fun. The online multiplayer was unique and engaging as well. It really ti...
If you played it, why don't you go into some depth. What didn't you like? Why a 6? If you don't elaborate, you can't expect your opinion to mean much.
Definitely excited for this game.
My top 10 most wanted games for next year, based on all the stuff I know and have seen right now (not necessarily in this order):
Uncharted 2
Ratchet & Clank Future 3
Killzone 2
Heavy Rain
Infamous
God of War 3
Gran Turismo 5
Fat Princess
Flower
Star Ocean 4
Good point! I'll definitely be giving them my dollars... I support any company that localizes niche Japanese titles like this. I did with all the Eidos FRESH releases back in the early 2000's for the PS2 and GameCube (Mad Meastro and Mister Mosquito, booyah!) and I'll keep doing it, too. I've already picked up, just this year, Mana Khemia and Persona 4 for PS2, Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles for PS3.
I'm pretty excited for it as well. I can't wait to play it in English. Definitely going to have to reserve this as soon as Amazon gets a listing for it.
Why does everybody think it's going to be a 360 timed exclusive? Just because the first one was? As far as I know, so far the only platform that this game has even been officially announced for is Playstation 3. It was unveiled on the PS3 version of Bioshock, and I still haven't heard officially of anything about a 360 version. I'm absolutely positive it'll be on 360, but why couldn't it be a PS3 timed exclusive? Something about the fact that it was announced on the PS3 before it was for...
I go with Resistance 2.
I haven't played World at War yet, though. I played Gears 2 and was largely unimpressed. I thought that Resistance 2 had the better level design in the campaign, much better voice acting and characters and a story that didn't try as hard to be compelling (for me, the ridiculous attempts at emotion in Gears 2 just bored me and sometimes made me laugh when they were trying to pull at my heartstrings... it failed in the story department, for me), and the ...
I've never played a Star Ocean game. But this one looks pretty damn good. I'm glad it's a prequel not a sequel, so I can play it and understand it, and if I like it, I can get the remake of the original for PSP and go from there. If this game is said by my RPG-fan friends to be good, then I'll definitely pick it up.
Highly respected my foot. Any magazine that has 4 people reviewing the Last Remnant, half of whom give it a perfect score the other half near-perfect (10/10/9/9), is disreputable. Famitsu has a long tradition of sucking at games reviews. And their high scores for games like The Last Remnant, Haze, and Lair don't mean they're "generous" it just means they have bad criteria for quality. They've given significantly better games seriously lower scores, and they do it often. Everyon...
OK. I have a 360 and I'm excited for Halo ODST and Star Ocean 4, but I think the PS3's got 2009 locked up. Seriously, consider this list:
1) A multiplatform game.
2) A new movie format not yet catching up to the popularity of the old format.
3) An expansion pack.
4) A game that hasn't even been announced yet.
5) A real-time strategy game that isnt called Starcraft and isn't on PC.
I don't think ANY of these are very good indicators t...
