I just can't wait for the lawsuits. You know they won't leave 9/11 alone, and you know it's going to raise one hellacious stink.
And regardless of the contraversy, I'm jsut not interested in this game following the big reveal. The announcement trailer doesn't look even like a GTA game, IMHO- the mood is completely off. Wrong music, wrong graphical styling. And a guy who's apparently Russian in modern-day NYC? I just... don't get it. Are you going to be trying to pull human traf...
You know GTA4 is multiplatform, right?
I hate to play devil's advocate here, but I'm running Vista right now, and it's pretty nice, actually. It really does have new features down to better emulation for older software, which has allowed Vista to seamlessly run tons of software, some of which has even claimed incompatibility. A screen pops up asking if there was an issue with the program, and if you want Vista to try better settings to make it run. Click a button, program runs. It's worked every time so far. A free install of Wind...
As expected (assuming you followed Forza 1's development), the team is again pulling the rabbit out of the hat in the last leg of development. And things are looking better every single day.
FF XIII's hype:
-"The footage you saw at e3 '06 was real gameplay." - devs, May06
-"...with the game's visual engine, running on actual PS3 hardware, being nearly finished." -Motomu Toriyama, director of the main FFXIII title, to Gaimaga in May06 http://ps3.ign.com/articles...
FF XIII's reality:
-"The White Engine is about 6% complete." -devs, (Octobe...
Okay, I'll play the obligatory fanboy:
"Rumble is a last-generation technology."
-Sony
It's good to see rumble making its rightful return, and I'm sure we can all agree on that.
HP knows they can be competitive, because they used illegal pretexting to spy on their competitors! Oh, snap! But yeah, this sounds kind of like the Phantom console- a promise to enter the race with absolutely nothing actually behind it at the moment.
"HP also played a video in which a teenage boy walks through a big city with his handheld game player. He points the device at a portion of the city's skyline, the device scans the outline of the buildings in view and creates...
Yeah, it's funny- but Sony would probably be sued if they tried to put this on American television. Both the homosexual/pedophilia overtones and the implication of urine would drive the bible belt bonkers.
And c'mon, someone so absorbed by a PSP that they'd wet themselves playing Burnout while letting another guy sneak a peek at the urinal? It's like Sony is just handing ammunition to anti-Sony factions.
How 'bout this:
Screw the demo, let's get this game released before the next console generation hits.
And besides, they're going to launch a FF13 demo right around the window when Halo 3 is going to release? A terribly cheap move, and not a smart one for the console. On one side, a singleplayer demo for a game that won't come out for another year (or two, especially for Europe). On the other, a full multiplayer game honed by a previous public beta, both of which were agg...
Someday, I'm going to kill some people and blame it on (insert entertainment source here).
Lots of other people get away with it, why not me?
[*also insert sigh*]
Yeah! Halo 2 only broke world entertainment records with its sales, dominated Xbox Live for 2 years, and still remains one of the most popular multiplayer experiences in the world today! That's a terrible act to follow!
[fanboyism]
Remember when DMC was a PS3-exclusive, and it was the best-looking game ev0r, and 360 couldn't possibly ever run a game like DMC, and then the moment it goes multiplat, everyone's all "meh" about it? Yeah, 360 fans were meh before and they're generally meh now. It's a nice title and all, but... meh.
[/fanboyism]
Differences between Pro and Core:
-Hard drive
Differences between Elite and Core:
-HDMI and Hard Drive. Er, and it's black.
Differences regarding games, online, etc, between all 3 SKUs:
-Absolutely zero.
OH. MY. GOD.
You LIVE... at HOME...
[/sarcasm]
Ah-well. At least things make some sense now...
Cell is 8x more powerful than most computers?
If you're talking about new computers, anyway, a 2ghz dual-core can be gotten in a good system for the same price as a PS3.
8x that speed? ....maybe not.
If MS wants to hold out on wireless so much, they should release their own. Considering the incredible quality of most MS periphrials for 360, I'm certain gamers would shell out for it.
Otherwise, this is one periphrial they cannot afford to drag on- people REALLY want the wireless guitar.
Yeah, this is the most sensationalized piece of "news" in a while.
Yes, his statement could well have meant "no changes needed... because there is no Elite system".
And what would you possibly need to change about XNA for HDMI anyway? Or any other connector, for that matter?
...and Microsoft has Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddyssey (and so on).
...and Nintendo has (do I even need to say it?)
The #1 reason to own ANY console is for the exclusive content. It's just a question of which exclusives you want most (or can afford, heh).
NOTHING.
WAS.
HACKED.
Just like the rest of the entire computer industry, pre-texting (and social engineering) are (and have always been) massive problems that EVERYONE has to deal with.
Er, close but no cigar. First off, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't the last Merril Lynch estimate updated like a year ago? Anyway...
PS3 is being sold at a loss of at least U.S.$100 per console (maybe closer to U.S.$200, depending on the estimate), with little ability to lower price, because most of the technologies are proprietary (they'd just move the loss somewhere else in the company, basically). Xbox 360 might even be selling for a profit at this point, with lots of room to dr...
