PS3 has been selling at or below cost since just after Christmas, really. 360 maintained inflated eBay prices until... er, March, oddly enough. Even into the opening of April in some cases. Wii too looks like it'll finally get down to selling price around April's opening, just like 360. It's nearly eerie in similarity. Only Wii's sold several times more units in this period.
And yes, it's a no-brainer that sales slow down after Christmas, and even moreso after the Jan-Feb seaso...
Anyone remember back when the very introduction of DirectX was just an attempt by Microsoft to monopolize the graphics business? Heh.
It seems like everything they do is always only for evil- there can't possibly by anything about this move that's necessary because of hardware and software constraints at all. No, not at all. Can't possibly be true.
FYI:
This is a known Bluetooth issue, considering SIXAXIS can only reconnect via the USB cable, and everyone knew this was going to happen from the moment controller's connection method was fully detailed. It's just how the setup works. There's no real "fix", unless Sony remakes the PS3 and controller to allow wireless reconnection.
I mean unless there's a way to update the Bluetooth board via an update... but i don't think that can be done.

Again, Harrison at launch and right up to this announcement:
"Backwards compatibility is one of the core features of PS3."
"We are commited to 100% Backwards compatibility."
...and the tons of quotes about how he thought Microsoft's strategy (of partial BC) was the wron move, because BC was so critical to the Playstation brand.
^^^It was literally over a year after he started rolling out these comments (they started before the 360 launch...
Warhawk = launch game? GREAT IDEA! Gotta show 'em show's boss, Sony!
Warhawk = delayed? GREAT IDEA! Make sure it's done right.
Warhawk = download-only? GREAT IDEA! It'll counter Live Arcade!
Warhawk = singleplayer only? GREAT IDEA! Cut out the bits you don't need!
Warhawk = on disc again? GREAT IDEA! It's definately better on disc.
...just a random question here. Will there ever be anything about these changes to Warhawk, its release date, and/or its...
Will be pre-ordered'd.
I can't help it, I love collectors' editions!
Hopefully this'll be in a nifty metal tin too.
Mind-numbing graphics? Check.
Awesome story full of intrigue? Check.
Fun-looking combat system? Check.
Hopefully it just can't go wrong.
"we're gonna have trophy's and ill take that over a number anyday"
^^^ Mr. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle.
There is no difference between the two, except in presentation. You "win" an online marker to show your accomplishment. Whether it's a trophy or an icon with points... same thing...
Er, they were? I thought there was a news story jsut a few down about that...
Isn't PS2 still outselling PS3? And 360? And heck, maybe even Wii? I wouldn't call that dead.
TMNT with online play? My g/f is gonna go crazy!
She's wanted to play this game with me for years.
Guess I'm gonna have to get two 360s for isntant LAN action after all... *sigh*
Heh.
Next sentence:
"Even though the PS3’s RSX is inaccessible under Linux the smart little system will reach out across the network and leverage multiple IBM QS20 blades to render the complex model, in real-time, with software based ray-tracing."
^^^Reading is FUNdamental.
It's not that it doesn't exist, but game developing is largely a meritocracy where you're evaluated based on your skills and portfolio rather than race. Theoretically.
And what people are saying in this thread is that black culture is already pretty well-represented in gaming. Could probably be better, of course, but what minority / disability / other identifying feature doesn't hold that same gripe? As said- demographics from women to african-americans to native americans (Pre...
There are lots of problems with gaming in Japan. Here's a huge one:
-Metal Gear 4
-Devil May Cry 4
-Ridge Racer 7
-Paper Super Ultra Mario 64 World RPG Party 5
-Dragon Quest VIII
-FF 13
-The Legend of Zelda's Twin Brother Harold: The Wind Unmaker: Fifteen Blades Adventure XXVI
-Dynasty Warriors 5,000: Xtreme Legends Musuo Super Ultra Black Edition III
It's not like this doesn't happen elsewhere, but there's massive sequel-...
Sony:
-Home
-LittleBigPlanet
Microsoft:
-Fable 2
-Mass Effect
...seems fair to me.
In Crackdown, not only is the default character black, but the advertising (outside of Japan- which is weird) focuses pretty exclusively on the default (and black) agent.
Not just games, but RPGs.
Whoda thunkit?
Basically, above is correct. He's only saying this AFTER Deus Ex: Invisible War basically tanked. He was all about the graphics when the original Deus Ex came out.
And Epic not only made the bar that was set, but they may have even beaten the original Unreal Engine tech demo that the game was based off of- which nobody at all thought could really happen.
"Sony has shined brighter than any of its rivals at GDC so far. And that's a fact."
^^Biased much?
Jack Tretton also said people would buy "5 million [PS3s] without games."
Is that really a guy you ever want to trust?
And as said before- on average, Killzone got one point higher in reviews across the media than BloodWake did. And Microsoft showed off BloodWake as an incredibly next-gen and revolutionay game just like Sony did for Killzone. If Microsoft were to try claiming that BloodWake 2 was going to rock the world and show off a photo-realistic trailer at...
