Any USB device that doesn't require drivers works on any USB port- including Wii and 360's. In fact, I use my Wii to charge my 360 controllers since my Wii is semi-on all the time on with WiiConnect anyway.

Good Lord.
Now all the developers need is to compare their competition to Hitler and they'll have hit the absolute rock bottom possible in the world.

The devs are so desperate to get attention to this game, they're calling their hopeful 18-24 demographic bad words just to incite testosterone rage, and it's working.

So I'll just do it for them- Bill Gates is Hitler, and if you don't buy Haze, you're supporting the Holocaust. There. Now the devs don't need t...

Word on the street is that one of the very maps mentioned here is indeed the new Lockout. I seem to remember it being Chill.

XNA for Xbox 360 is $100/year, with everything else (save the console) being free. Xbox Live Arcade has allowed quite a few "indie" fevelopers (PopCap for example) to make a massive splash.

Not to mention Sony has some similar initiatives, and the PSN store has allowed quite a few indie games to achieve success.

And that's just in terms of "bargain-bin" downloadable games!
Saying that indie development is dead is, frankly, ignorant. Is ...

"Sony hasn't lost on any format before, and NO beta was not a loss"
Then explain MiniDisc, and (Good Lord, I'm not even going here).

Sony has never WON on a format before, unless you want to count basic DVD.

Pretty much any of these utterly biased sites should be banned- including, for example, Wii60. Although I don't recall them ever doing anything except reposting older articles or publishing total opinion pieces that they never really pushed on anyone... but still.

You know your console is in big trouble when it needs a protection group. Truly hilarious.

FASA needs help.
Shadowrun was screwed up from the start- they didn't remain even remotely close to the source material, and it was downhill from there. And Battletech / Mechwarrior, a license that seems impossible to screw up, has been mediocre at best.

...or maybe they need to refocus on pencil-n-paper RPGs...?

Sony Protection Group bull***.

What, Cheif in a tux at a funeral? Heh.
There's armageddon going on in the background, and Chief is charging the viewer. That's not serious?

Exactly. I've worked retail, and I was there when someone would walk in one day happy as could be purchasing their 6th to 8th PS2, and in the same visit they'd moan and groan that they were on their *gasp* second 360.

All storm and fury, signifying nothing.

To play Devil's Advocate-
This article would say that your review of Wii games would look something like:
Fun- 10
Graphics/Sound- 5
Replayability (or Lasting Value)- 2

And that would make a lot more sense than seeing something like:
Gameplay- 8
Graphics/Sound- 5
Next-Gen- 4

Or insert your own permutations... but the argument is that reviews should focus more on the immediate appeal of a title than its component par...

BS filter = rox.
Only problem with the BS filter is that it might lower the number of fresh articles below a level that would keep me coming back as much as I do, as at least the filler material is fun to laugh at when I click on it thinking it's real news. But counter that with the dev interviews idea, and it might work out.

This is a pretty awesome site for a beta. It just needs some time to build to when it might attract exclusive news (dev interviews are a great tool...

Wanna know how to tell you're a fanboy?
"The Sony Protection Group isn't just any ordinary online group. SPG is a movement against Wii60 and a movement towards the Playstation 3. It originally started out as an idea and a joke, but after the hatred and lies against the Playstation 3 increased, the SPG formed."

By the way, is anyone else getting a bit worried that there are Sony Protection Group opinion stories posted here as "news"? I thought that whole site was just started by irate fanboys in the first place...

This site's argument against HD-DVD:
BluRay outsells it, and has more support.

The problem with PS3:
360 and Wii both outsell it, both have more exclusives coming out.

If this article didn't contradict the entire purpose of the site behind it, it might be easier to consider it remotely worth actually debating.

Actually, they have:

BEFORE Playstation 3 launched:
"PS3 launch titles will be superior."
-Ken Kutaragi

AFTER Playstation 3 launched:
"Developers need more time to take advantage of the hardware."
-Everyone

And not so long ago:
"Developers may never fully tap into the power of the Playstation 3."
-Phil Harrison

You can clearly see that PS3 does produce vast quant...

As pointed out elsewhere- The Halo 3 Beta being delayed a few hours for some users was the end of the frikken world, but warhawk crashing and freezing consoles is just fine.

PS3 is setting steady at last place worldwide and doesn't look to be gaining, while the and Wii looks like it's going to eat away 360's lead pretty quickly if it maintains momentum- slowed only by 360's massive list of exclusive releases this year.

And despite all the people claiming doom and gloom about post-release droughts... Xbox 360 launched with, and maintains, a software attach rate at least double that of its nearest competitor in this console generation (maybe still tr...
