If what Sony said about Cell is true, all their launch games run in 1080p at 120fps. If what Sony said about Cell is true, all their titles from launch and forward are blowing away the competition because the system is so much more powerful.
They keep backing up. First it was "wait until the second wave of games", and now it's something like "just give us until winter 2008" (Final Fantasy 13), and after that I'm sure they'll back up more.
How ...
Chicken and egg. why did the mobo warp? Because you didn't ventilate hte system properly. so many people are doing that, that Microsoft may be putting a bigger cooling system to try to compensate. And if the mobos didn't warp, the system would just continue to heat up until other components melted. Something's gotta give.
The problem is still people not ventilating their systems properly, and this solution won't really help anyone, because hot air that isn't allowed to circualt...
Yeah... open mouth, insert foot.
They have no new titles to announce because their lineup is alerady full of titles (they're all already announced), and there are lots of other companies taking up the slack in announcements anyway.
People are hilarious.
Actually, you gotta remember that NDS is the house that Nintendogs built- if not for that title in the early days, it would have had nothing at all over PSP, really, except its price. The combo of price and the popularity of Nintendogs really helped the system score early on.
I admit I'm a total fanboy, but c'mon people.
This is just a sale. For example, Target probably had near-launch sales on all 3 of 360, Wii, and PS3 (maybe not, but knowing Target, they probably did). And they probably had sales on PS3, GBA, etc all at the same time.
Does that mean the game industry is in decline? Nah.
Lots of real-world retailers have online "homes" in second life that are basically just advertising zones. Most major car dealers have them, for example, and some even "sell" their "prototype" cars that allow you to zoom around in the game.
...or maybe this article misses what most people believe is the real point- the Bush administration is easily bought. Corporations rule the government via money. Microsoft has a lot of money. So duh, they're going to get a lot of favorable action.
I bet next, they'll have a report saying the Bush administration has been overly friendly to oil companies. OMG!
Nice job not looking at any facts whatsoever in that one. For example, Oblivion barely uses half of its disc, actually. You could probably fit Oblivion and the DLC for all of those other games onto Oblivion's disc.
Most games on both Xbox 360 and on PS3 can easily fit onto one DVD-9, even with their DLC. Just because a developer chooses to release a game first and DLC later doesn't automatically mean they couldn't have put it onto the disc.
Also, what about Motor...
Or it could have crappy textures, short campaign, AND co-op that isn't online like Resistance! Please consider both sides of an argument before trying to slam someone, please.
For the billionth time-
Some versions of the 360 drive lack the "bump pillows" that normally prevent scratching when the console is moved, subjected to vibration, etc. Also, as nay hardware geek will tell you, DVD and drive manufacturing can make a very small portion of discs/drives just unstable enough to cause such an issue. However, this again only affects a tiny portion of console owners.
The real problem comes from people who DO knock over their consoles, ...
OH. MY. GOD.
You're absolutely right.
We might just see *gasp*
A FINAL FANTASY GAME TAKING UP MORE THAN ONE DISC!
DUN-DUN-DDDUUNNNN!!!!
Come on. Nobody ever had a problem with it before. What would be the problem now?
Too bad there's no HDMI cables or else 360 would be DOOMED!
Heh.
Bungie has already confirmed the second disc is not a game disc. They'll have more updates in the Weekly Update tonight at bungie.net.
Sorry, anti-Xbox fans, but Halo 3 fits on one disc.
Halo babies mb?

Now, will we see a rematch in Starcraft 2? C'mon, Blizzard, where's teh luv? Heh.
I've had my 360 since Christmas. Say what? I've also had my original Xbox with the Thompson drive that supposedly (insert problems) since 2001.
*insert shrug*
Maybe I've just been incredibly lucky for going on 6 years.
As with ~98% of world consumers, I'm still buying regular ol' DVDs, and now that I own an HD-TV (got a sweet deal at Wal-Mart), all my HD content comes from my Xbox 360 (or insert: on-demand digital cable, satellite, etc).
Skip the format war entirely- this time next year holographic storage or some other truly revolutionary technology will be out.
What the hell is with the Sony fans? Seems like you can't look at a single news post anymore without seeing a Sony fans trying to sneak curse words past the language filters... not saying other people don't do it either, but c'mon.
Aaaanyway... the world needs more KOTOR. I just wish it would get picked up by BioWare and be done right again.
Personally, I thought the DiRT demo was rubbish as well. Here's to hoping it's nothing like the final game.
See also: Busting Lik-Sang when it was proven that even many Sony execs had bought products from the site. Lik-Sang was shut down, but nobody in Sony who violated their owm company's policy (being that they deemed Lik-Sang illegal and purchases within the company were easily traced) were ever fined or otherwise legally pursued.
Ve must stop ze bleedink!
