Ontopic: This dog looks bad-ass. I would have really liked to see them in KZ2, but I doubt that their absence will have a negative effect on the game (well, it may negatively influence the 1up.com review).

While in Braid's case, it's Microsoft's fault? (Braid's developer wanted the game to be cheaper, and its downloaded theme to be free.)
I don't buy it. Microsoft makes the rules for DLC and has full control over pricing on the Marketplace. The developers can give their input, but ultimately it is up to MS to decide. It's not free because MS doesn't want it to be.

I'm a Vista user. I've been using it on my gaming PC since the beginning. I've had a few hiccups every now and then, but never anything too showstopping. From firsthand experience, I'd agree with the sentiment, "Vista provides no incentive to upgrade from the OS that I already have." That said, if you can manage to pick up a copy of Vista at a price comparable to XP, then, IMO, there's no reason the "average user" shouldn't.

Without knowing anything about the game, I can't muster much interest in Alan Wake. I'm surprised that the game is getting attention at all. What is with the hype when there is no game to hype? Don't get me wrong, if I saw ANYTHING on Alan Wake that was even remotely interesting (besides the lack of information ala Cloverfield anyone?) then I'd understanding the praise. At this point though, I just don't get it.
