A few too many kicks and punches all to the mind?
I take it this is combined platforms?
I just can't get hyped about Alan Wake. I can't muster excitement over a title that I know nothing about.
Agreed. I played the PC demo. I thought it was a crap. I won't ever buy it. Don't port this sh!te to PS3.
Or in the case of any of Valve's products, we PC gamers are getting the better deal.
Moral of the story: Buy Valve games for PC. Shun Valve titles ported to consoles.
What success? Do they mean success in terms of sales for a console RTS? Sure. But if they mean "success" in reference to Halo Wars being a great title and a solid gaming experience, then no. If that's the case, I'm scared to see what a Halo-franchise "failure" looks like.
I'm not angry about this.
However, I am angry that we waited half a decade for Smash Bros Brawl, and it ended up sucking so hard.
Yea, there was a lot of pop-in, a few shadow/lighting issues dabbled around, and a LOT of jaggies but overall it looks good, especially on current-gen consoles.
BEFORE YOU BUY, TRY THE DEMO ON STEAM.
I downloaded the PC demo. First thing I noticed was that it still had the 360 button icons (X,Y,B,A), what the hell? Even so, I trudged on. Looking back, I wish that I hadn't. The little tidbits of story in the demo seemed empty and uninspired. The combat system was unintuitive and seemed to play out on its own. Overall, Last Remnant (PC) seemed unfinished and "half-assed". I hope that this can't also be said for the 360 version, or other 360 jRPGs for that matter. No one de...
Cutting executive bonuses seems much better than what is happening at Microsoft Game Studios. As of March 14th, contract employees (which make up a vast majority of the MS workforce) received pay cuts upwards of 15%.
Not when Microsoft is trying to sell the 360 as an all-in-one set-top box; all the while claiming to fill a void in entertainment viewing that doesn't actually exist (hence, netflix and "exclusive" downloadable viewing content).
Thank god for Hulu. Saves me $40/month as it was enough for me to cut my cable television service.
Why are we hearing this from a no name website, and not Kotaku? They always seem to have the inside scoop on the numbers. In truth, you can bet your ass that Kotaku would never cover these numbers, even if they were true. 360 in the sh!tter? Wii going down hill? No way. PS3 is doomed? Yes please. Score one for the bad guys. Luke Plunkett is a douche.
TF2 is on this list.
RIIIIIIIINAAAA!
Yea seriously. If this game is half as much fun as Crackdown, it'll be worth a buy. (Calad worked almost over 6 months on Crackdown and is in the credits. :D)
... Metacritic posts this score and weights it as a credible source.
Why not rely on Halo? Developing a Halo title, no matter how sloppy, is like printing money. Halo Wars is a pretty half-assed, trashy title, but it's still selling phenomenally for a console RTS. As long as gaming noobs continue to lap up the gravy, MS will keep cooking it up. More power to them.
Yes. I am. I've been working at Microsoft Game Studios since 2006 (my first project was Crackdown <3).
