Probably from 2nd to 3rd in the console race. Oooooooooooooooooo burn. I kid. I kid.
But in all seriousness, I'd buy a 360 if the price was right. I've got my eye on the Elite model. Sadly, I can't justify purchasing one at the current price point. My PC and PS3 seem to cover almost all of my bases save for a few choice exclusives.
I hold no loyalties to any side. For me, it's all about cost VS value and at this time the price of a 360 may be lower than the co...
If your television supports the "Full" setting, does the PS3 auto to "Full Range" rather than "Limited Ranged"? Or is this always set to Limited by default?
Anyway, nice comparison pics in the forum post. Problem is, this is still a forum post............
Albeit a bit blunt, this is a glaring reason as to why many people who didn't know any better might not enjoy RE5... or any other Resident Evil title for that matter.
PC/PS3 works for me. All of the perks and almost none of the downsides.
I'm content with my PC version of Left4Dead.
I wouldn't go as far to say that Edge is anti-PS3 (however, I've always felt there were somewhat biased). In my opinion though, this isn't the reason KZ2 received a low score. Edge is simply trying to be sensationalist. They receive a lot of attention by posting "outlying", seemingly-unreasonable scores on high-profile games.
So... games that are on both the XBOX360 and PC are called "multiplatform" now? I thought we were calling those "exclusives". I mean, ahem, "console exclusives".
***ONLY ON XBOX360... and pc***
And in this statement lies your problem. You're focused so much on the console wars that you've forgotten that for us (gamers) it's all about the games.
But factor in that Ensemble was developing the game KNOWING that they were being sh!tcanned after the project shipped...
... I'd be weary about this title. Let's play the demo and see how that goes. Halo Wars has as much going against it as it does going for it.
Agreed. Comparing the sales of two drastically different games, for differing platforms, and under completely different circumstances is petty. However, debating what quantifies a "flop" is another matter.
LittleBigPlanet with slightly better sales than L4D (well, we really don't know to what degree LBP is kicking L4D's ass since we don't have the 360 sales numbers: only PC/360 combo sales) is considered by many publications to be a "flop", whereas L4D is con...
Here's to hoping that the Microsoft firings have a similar effect.
*The figure accounts for retail sales of the PC and Xbox 360 versions*
Not only did L4D sell worse than LittleBigPlanet, but the 1.8mil number is INFLATED by PC sales (not including Steam). I wonder what percentage of the 1.8 million are PC retail sales. 25-30%ish? That'd put the number somewhere closer to 1.3million in XBOX360 sales.
FLOP!
Advertising for this game has been huge. Moreso than any other Valve title.
Buy it for PC. You won't regret the purchase.
I can't say the same for the 360 version.
Yea. If LBP is a flop at over 2mil worldwide, then Left4Dead is DEFINITELY a flop.
If it's not the score that the game deserved. Regardless of if the scores were 5.0 and above, 8.0 and above, or 9.0 and above, if a game does not receive the score that it deserves (high or low) without valid justification for the score, then one might say that the reviewer has bias (either "for" or "against").
Oh, and by the way, Daz, you're a moron.
Sad, though. They won't be alive long to take advantage of their insane broadband connections.
We're all dead in 2012!
Websites like Kotaku, 1up, Gamespot, and Gamedaily are waiting for the other websites to release their scores. That way, they can calculate how low they need to rate KZ2 in order to reduce its metascore to below that of Halo 3 and Gears 2.
Edit: Well, and it takes time making up nitpicky excuses to justify low scores.
First reaction: Ho-sh!t, it looks like Odin Sphere!
First realization: Ho-sh!t, from the makers of Odin Sphere!
Testies, you're a troll, and your comments ought to be reported. You'd have done well if not for the personal attacks.
I agree with the majority of Bathy's original statement, albeit I wouldn't use the word "starved" so much as "disappointed". The games are there, but the quality isn't (I know this first hand as for the last 3 years I've worked for Microsoft Game Studios). When reading, "The 360 has by far has the best selection of exclusive games.&quo...
