If that's so...
Halo 3
Forza 2
Crackdown
And Gears of War 2 if they never make a PC port. Thank you for the response, sir. :)
As of today the video has been altered.
GREAT games that I'm missing out on by not owning a 360:
Halo 3
Gears of War 2
Forza 2
Crackdown
And I'm only missing out on GoW2 and Halo 3 until they make PC ports. At which point, I'll have only missed out on Forza 2 and Crackdown. Did I miss anything?
Don't bother debating with any of Kotaku's editors, especially via e-mail. From firsthand experience, they're about a pig-headed as you can get. If they're wrong, they're right. If you're right, you're wrong.
Albeit a misguided one, you're entitled to your opinion. You enjoy your Wii. I'll enjoy my PS3 AND my Wii. No sweat off my back.
And you never will.
You act like the PS2 and the Wii are synonymous. I assure you, they were two very different animals. The difference is this: the Wii demographic is composed primarily of non-gamers and casual gamers with very little room for "hardcore" gaming outside of the first-party blockbuster Zelda and Mario titles. The PS2, like the Wii, catered heavily on the non-gamer and casual gamer crowd, but had an incredibly strong "hardcore" following fueled by strong 1st and 3rd party tit...
Princess Debut: The Royal Ball set to outsell GTA: Chinatown Wars.
Lips 2: The Legend of Curly's Gold.
You can (wrongfully) use that argument anytime a "stylish" game flops. Madworld's black-n-whiteness has little to do with its poor sales and everything to do with the Wii's demographic. Stylish, bloody, ultra-violent Mature titles just don't sell to kiddies and old grannies. And I'd venture to say that the 70,000 or so "hardcore" gamers left on Nintendo's Wii won't sustain a developer who may have been milling over developing ambitious titles for the platform.

Wii Motion Plus is set to revolutionize the way we view our Wiimotes. Yessir, now you'll be waggling with accuracy!
You might be on to something there... a Mario rail-shooter where you toss fireballs at Goombas and Shyguys while avoiding Piranha plants and kicking away Turtle shells and Ba-Bombs. Yea....
Ya know, usually we hear the exact opposite of that from most people.
I voted Orange Box. HL2, Portal, and TF2 all in one package? That's pretty tough to beat.
I was on the QA team for Crackdown. That was a great contract and probably one of the best jobs of my adult life. I look back on that game fondly. It's easily in my Top3 favorite 360 games.
Crackdown 2, guys, keep your fingers crossed.
He can if he is blindfolded and sticks his fingers in his ears. "La-la-la-la-la-la! I can't hear you!"
... ewwww.
I don't. And I can't even say that "I do" sarcastically.
You're spewing garbage. Whatever point you were trying to make in your last handful of replies has been totally and utterly lost.
"Might want to actually stop talking about the Wii until you've had more than just 5 minutes of play time at Gamestop because you look like a complete fool to be making such false claims that games like RE4 and other WIi FPS show you are wrong."
Oh, and RE4 is a TPS (third person shooter) and not an FPS. But... hey... you'd kno...
Is the author trying to get me to believe that there were 64 million gamers in PAL-regions who had plans to purchase Ghostbusters on non-Sony platforms?
Pfft. Add this site to the "never click again" list.
EDIT: Chris Stead, the author of this flamebait garbage, is apparently the "Editor-in-Chief" of Gameplayer. So... if this guy's writing is the best of Gameplayer's best, then I suggest everyone look elsewhere for their gaming news.
