They may have a high level sku in the $500-$600 range, but they made it very clear that they've learned from their mistakes and I think this will carry over to pricing as well. My guess, $399 and $499.
I'm really enjoying all of these articles making assumtions based on what wasn't shown instead of just enjoying what was. There's still 8 months, give or take, that Sony has to show more and more. I would imagine that they are viewing this event as a launching off point that they'll just keep building off of until the system releases, gotta keep that hype train rolling.
What about the gameplay did you find 'meh', can you elaborate? I mean, it's a shooter, there's really only so much that can be done.
@porter470, I assume it is to provide more options to the developers. I could see it being used in traditional games, ever go prone in a shooter only to find the one blade of grass right in you're line of sight? With this, I could see where you could just slightly move the controller to the left or right to shift the gun to the side, or something like that...Just a thought, it may just be there to help make the built in six-axis controls more accurate.
Either way, I say m...
Bacwards compatibility is nice, but it's not a major feature unless you're on the internet desperately seeking bullet points to help you tear down a console. 360 wasn't bc, snes, n64, the newest PS3s.
People complain that they want to trade the PS3 towards the PS4, but if keeping the PS4 requires the internals of the PS3 be added, thus increasing the cost, then you haven't gained anything over keeping your PS3 with a new Non-BC PS4.
I have an ...
What? The light on the controller is tracked just like the ball on the Move, by the new camera.
I don't think it needs saving (Many games coming this year), but if it does, then the PS4 connectivity (if they keep their promises) will be all it needs.
Anyone else notice the rifle transitioned between a sniper mode and assult mode? Awesome.
Think they're testing the waters to see if its still popular to rag on Sony? Got to know which track to take come the 21st. Something tells me this won't be it.
I think it will be the same way it is now, free to play online with ps+ providing discounts and their cloud service, maybe for a little more, but maybe not. Cloud part could be separate, leaving a three their system in place.
Agree on Conker, awesome N64 game. But sadly, I think Microsoft now owns that IP. We'll probably never see it again.
Fun.
I picked up the ZombieU bundle yesterday in preparation for Monster Hunter. It's a nice product, I think it will have an easier time getting the hardcore to pick one up alongside their chosen console (ps4 or nextbox). Even though it won't be as powerful, being HD will make the gap seem much less than it did for wii and ps3/360. I'm looking forward to the exclusives and think that the controller could really help it be a go to for more traditional RPGs.

Because its awesome, the end.
I never understood why people get upset this company for their price structures. If you don't like it, don't use them, it's that simple. Clearly, their consumers are still on board with the trade in values and used game prices. If that were to change, so would their prices. I mean, they sell week old games for $5 under full price after buying them back for half, they have plenty of room to adjust to demand, they clearly don't see the need to yet.
It's certainly a huge part of their business model right now, but they have been adjusting, preparing for the future, picking up tablets, phones, movies. I expect them to slowly become a full on electronics and entertainment company, much like best buy but with a bit more narrow of a focus.
I also do not think it will happen, but it's probably good that they fight it. When they stop fighting it is when it'll be easier for someone to implement such a ban.
I'm hearing microtransactions
I think we've got a good shot at seeing a lot of hardcore titles for WiiU as well. I'll be getting both, Kinectbox, not so much.
I'm expecting a fun game with a good art style. Sounds like they are actually remaking the game, not just the art assets so maybe they can adjust for anything that originally drew complaints.
