It's built into the system. It will be more work to implement the restrictions, if they choose not to do that, then everything is shareable.
Hindsight is 20/20, but I don't know a single 360 owner that wouldn't be money ahead had they just bought the "more expensive" ps3 instead. When I see articles like this it makes me hope they learned a lesson this gen and at least pick up the next Playstation for all the great exclusives, not to mention the consumer friendly stance Sony takes with its systems.
And your credit card
I'm still hoping for a next gen release. Draw in, textures, effects on screen, could all get a big boost on next gen. I'm inclined to believe it will happen, especially with reporters noting the gameplay they're showing off isn't up to the standard set with their trailers...
Nope.
Step 1: dedicated servers. I won't even consider it if it's still p2p.
I'm really enjoying this game and I have to agree with you on the Monster Hunter comparisons. These two games may be the same genre, but that's about where the similarities end, this game feels nothing like Monster Hunter.
I do still think Monster Hunter is the superior game though.
Sounds kind of like starhawk, except the fps part. Probably true, but 16 player seems kinda low with mechs involved, surely the maps would need to be big to give room for the mechs so.... Anyone think they'll learn from their mistakes and have dedicated servers or still charge for p2p online?
Those are both awesome games, but the Monster Hunter comparisons are skin deep. All three games are quite distinct.
Anyone think they'll confirm the online requirement at their reveal or will it be something dragged out in some post reveal interview?
I think they're reading too much into it. Probably just more interactive media, voice control, that kind of 'future'. I doubt this will be some gaming advantage, but who knows?
Should be Xbox 180, turning away from gaming...
Mario
What makes you think those Ratchet games were unwanted? Those are great games.
I like that idea, but what cosmetic changes do you suppose? Since monster hunters armors are provided by making them from the monster parts...
Wouldn't bother me if it were only on WiiU, already bought one for MH3U. Don't see why it couldn't, mmo's aren't exactly known to be taxing on PC.
The gear, man, your doing it for the gear! ;)
Now, let's just hope it's not f2p. I think that would pretty much ruin the whole idea of monster hunter.
Oh, and put it on consoles.
It looks good, but if they want an audience in the west, it needs to be released on consoles. Nothing here a PS4 or even Wiiu shouldn't be able to handle.
I want to see Planetside 2 pre installed on every PS4.
