I would like to think MS will have their 360 march on well into the next decade, but I have to wonder then if that's the plan, what all is coming next year, because just adding Natal and nothing else just sounds off. Perhaps they'll overlap something a la PS2 & PS3?...I don't know, but I still want a 360 eventually.

Suburban Chicago Target had both, I got Ratchet and Clank just a few hours ago. Sweet deal.

discussion (flame war?) if this was 2006 or 2007...it's not, so there's really no reason such discrepancies should arise on multiplat's....the industry's moved beyond such issues, for the most part. This should be an obsolete concept, but apparently it's not.

the sequel is coming out soon, the first one's nearly 2 years old, and still it's MSRP is $60? That makes little sense...

and I think it'd be interesting to find out what the whole generation would look like if, hypothetically, PC's were/have always been all Cell-based, and the 360 was the "unique" architecture....

I think if it is true TR DID start on the PS3, they were keeping the 360 in mind, as well as the PC (released there too), and in doing so, weren't able to utilize the PS3 correctly. There's a point to be made when a game like Dead Space, an 8 month old game, was lead dev'd on PS...

that's what I was thinking. Every time a sexual topic comes along here, the degrees shoot up to 4 digits easy, but there's like 2 dozen comments. Either everyone is in a "I was never here" mindset and wants no evidence of their presence, or it's too hard to reply with one hand.

I guess what I meant to say is that the link I posted is what I found most impressive (which says a lot), and I was trying to say that if they could get all the enemies and models to look like that, in mass scale, as well as make the animation and rigging just as impressive, that'd be amazing. I have the first Crysis but not Warhead yet. I was just remarking on an entire game looking that good, model-wise, because I thought these were shots of mods using the engine, and wasn't sure if the ent...

I'll be impressed (eyelids are in need of small refinement), whether it's console or PC, this level of detail on a model is astounding if it can be done realtime. Get the animations, rigging, and lip syncing on par, and it should get some award...

HHG, did you see the game *running on 360 hardware, realtime*....?? That will be a decisive piece of information, at this time, since such credentials to this "Mona Lisa" are mysteriously absent.

but I have to have a Windows PC for doing artwork on and all, and I've had one for years and years, as well I already have older software that runs on Windows, so I don't personally follow that logic every time it's spoken. If I buy a computer game and play it on a Windows OS, MS already got my money one time for the OS, that I bought with this PC that I built originally, they aren't getting the same fees that they'd get if I bought a 360 game. Computers serve many needs, so it's not the same...

is quoting people on components of a console, not the whole console as a machine (the IBM guy if I recall meant the CPU, not the cell/SPU's as a whole, there's a difference, then you see a quote about RAM size, again, trivial). A dev uses the entire system and maxes out the collective power to the best they understand. Exclusives seem to be where the "outcome" of that power would lie...comparing multiplats is arguing about simplicity in coding, not power.

just to repair and take calls regarding RRoD? So their workforce ballooned about 3 to 4 years ago in correlation with that as well? I honestly am asking for clarification, because I'm not aware of what jobs were cut.
