I love a good RTS, hope this is one, actually haven't heard of this one. I wish more of them did something like this, and even what Renegade had (C & C game)...give the option for a one-manned control, benefits would be no stupid AI or crapping pathing scripts to suffer through or worry about...but benefits of overhead/mass view/control are also obvious, as you can then control many of your army...That'd be sweet for the upcoming C & C 4 or any game for that matter.
re-released. They've revamped the entire texturing/engine and all in the First Encounter by quite a bit, with the Second Encounter to follow. I have F.E. and S.E. on the PC, and Serious Sam 2 on my Xbox 1...I will somehow or another get the new Serious Sam:FE HD when it comes out because I saw the uplift in visuals it got, and I'm pumped as hell to play that.
"Halo started it all for console first person shooters as we know them..."
Um, no. Switch GoldenEye with Halo, you fanboy author.
I'm eager to see whatever they do, KZ based or not, they're too talented to stop now.
is proof enough the author (I use the term lightly) is a moron:
"Even a blind man can see that it's not affecting game sells"
If you want to talk about how something means so much, and sound like an authority on something, learn to utilize the concept correctly and spell it aptly. It's "GAME SALES"....Even a blind man can see you fail miserably.
for my PS3, looked at this item on the store, and decided to hold off until I found out more on it. I was hoping it also added some split screen stuff beyond the campaign/co-op, but it appeared to be described as only online additions on the PSN store, though that might be wrong.
I read though, that it was because the NA sales were below expected. A couple months ago a rep for Eidos said that they were disappointed with sales of TR-Underworld, mostly in North America, because they were expecting about 1 million in Europe by a certain date, which it achieved, but also 1 million in that time frame in NA, and it did only about half that. As a result they talked about redesigning Laura Croft to appeal to female gamers as well as male gamers, apparently...It might have bee...
are the 2 most useless pieces of craptastic banter on the web, so their "opinions" mean nothing to me, and I'd suspect a lot of other gamers as well. High Voltage is trying to do something unique, they should be revered simply for the effort if not for the fun games as well...
How common do you think that avatar is on a video gaming site, even as large as N4G????
a gaming laptop, in addition to the PC I'm on now that I built myself, but the laptop was made by CyberPower Inc. with mainly ASUS parts. I bought the laptop partly for my artwork/rendering I do, but it's busted right now thanks to nearly "proprietary" components (well actually because the GPU was from a bad batch). With laptops as we know, you can't just slap in a replacement or switch things up.
The things are so damn customized that if one part fails, you often HAVE...
each owner needs the items all listed. For many maybe the 360 is cheaper. For me, the PS3 was cheaper. It varies, which makes an article like this far too subjective to be of solid value, but it's an interesting perspective simply because PS3 was cheaper for me too, but I'm not every gamer, and I'm not naive enough to think it's the same value for each person.
The other issue is you're also assuming the average consumer has the capacity to add up what they need when buying a new ...
is outpacing 360 day by day in sales since launch and at a higher entry price (by several million, actually), so you're incorrect Omega, but feel free to believe otherwise.
but I want to clarify Haze was an alright game, it just had more potential and personally, I'd be excited to hear about a "remake" of sorts, sort of how they did with Alone in the Dark: Inferno or The Witcher: Enhanced Edition....they took the original, tinkered and polished it up. I paid $30 for Haze actually, at Walmart last fall, and don't regret it. I just know how good FR is and what they are capable of, I still would like to know how many of the dev's wanted more time on it, a...
Valve would "have decent coders" for the PS3 if they didn't shove it to the side as a "failure" 3-4 years ago when it was new tech for the rest of the industry as virtually every other dev. was getting familiar with it and the dev kits/demonstrations. Just getting to it now, I see? Gee, that "comfort zone" I keep seeing people call it must have been uber comfortable.
I also don't buy the whole "Valve is a small company" bit, they won a law...
but not unplayable. It wasn't broken, and it wasn't so absurdly bad you couldn't finish it (unless you have unusually high standards or dislike shooters). At least that's my opinion. It was a bit too linear, it had horrid voice acting, awful AI, and it had an average story at best. Guess what, it would have fit in better 5-8 years ago. The problem is it was an exclusive in 2008, so expectations are going to be higher, not to mention it was a Free Radical game....The potential was there, the c...
I look at the prices of nice jewelry for an engagement ring, and I keep thinking about how many games it's worth. :D
looks superior to both console versions, which is expected if you use different assets, more resources and higher resolutions. Maybe I'll get the PC version then, I have the first on PC and my rig can take this one.
Troll Killer, you sound like one of those individuals who thinks the 360 is a high powered gaming PC.
I've read the reviews on 2K9, and this may sound dumb, but I thought that 2K9 (and Live 09 also) had an integration of sorts of updated rosters and hot streaks. Live DNA I think was EA's and 2K had one too, it was supposed to incorporate the stats and changes as the season went on. So am I to assume (because I don't have either game) that the end of the season is where the updates completely stopped and there's notification somehow that this fall they won't be updated again? That obviously ma...
please, quite useless, baseless, naive and unproductive....not to mention unprovable.
*wonders how Why Dis is capable enough to create multiple accounts*
for it's age, not for it's popularity or visual prowess (and yes, it has had a great run). It came out like what, 4 years ago when it was new, and it's been tweaked to hell since? I could be wrong, maybe it was 3 or so, but it came around when Gears 1 was being dev'd, which had to be in early 2006 at the latest, and that already makes the engine 3.5 years old...It's been overused at this point. Good, yes - the best, nope.
It became popular from it's early demonstration of technic...
