Lair was a good game. people were still in (and some still are in) the motion controls = fail! mode. also the game was pretty challenging and gamers today want to be pampered. The sixaxis controls are good, I give it 8.5/10.

I just got my copy of Demons souls on Thursday. F'ing amazing! Feels a lot like Diablo, but dare I say better. Was my first import too. the only other game I might import is Siren since I really want a hard copy.

@halohead: I'm not sure when those ads aired but they don't look like the recent ads by sony which have a much lighter feel than their older ones. it would be a more interesting article if you looked at their newer ads insted of their old ones when at the time no casual player would spend $600 for a consol.
If those are new ads (which I'm pretty sure they are not) then by all means ignore this coment.
sounds like a good game. apparently though this reviewer has a problem with the stealth game playing like a stealth game and not an action shooter?
I don't know I like the cut scene animations and graphical style. story seems like it will be pretty typical though, which is too bad. I wish Japanese developers would start making more developed stories for their RPGs rather than the same old love story.
BTW I don't think it has anything to do with fanboy mentality. I don't own a 360 and the graphical style is very nice. you're right that its not the most technically brilliant looking game but so what.
the only console exclusive content I thought was done well was Soul Calibur 2. each console had an iconic character that fit the console. seriously link for the GC! SC4 "exclusive" characters were rip offs. ya it was cool to be able to play as yoda or Vader, but having to pay $5 for something that was supposedly exclusive is just lame. **** developers that abuse DLC.

Check out Valkyria Chronicles, its a SRPG. Even if you don't like SRPGs still check it out. I know a lot of people that don't like SRPGs but liked Valkyria Chronicles.
There is also Siren I haven't bought it yet but it seems like one of the few survival horror games that are still survival horror and not action horror. If you want a hard copy you can import the asian version (not jap) as it has english menus.

honestly I would have bought mirrors edge if I had the money, but I spent it on LBP, Valkyria Chronicles, resistance 2, persona 4 and Naruto UNS insted. I'd buy it now if I didn't buy Killzone 2, SF4, Demon's Souls, and I'm saving what little money I have left for White knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain, and possibly Infamous. I'll probably get it at some point, by then it will probably be $20-$30.
ya I agree, afro samurai was great (at least what I played from the demo).
Crimson Gem Saga looks F'ing amazing. I just hope the story is up to par.
