Wow was not expecting Bushido Blade to be on that list. . . maybe i should dust that game off and play it sometime. the 100 kills in that one mode to unlock a character was so hard to get, I remember getting up to the 80's or 90's and dying that was terrible :(
I wanted to buy it at release but I was strapped for cash so it will have to wait. i also think a lot of people might be waiting to see how Killzone 2 does before they buy. I don't know when I'll be able to pick it up since there is a bunch of other stuff I need to buy (white knight chronicles, heavy Rain, a new computer in anticipation of Diablo 3 and starcraft 2, god of war and uncharted might be dropping next year, wait to see when the team ICO project will be released, etc . . . ) all whi...
^agreed
Though I would say series from both the Square and Enix library's seemed to have decreased in quality.
I think square shifted with FFX, everything felt so dumbed down from the previous games. I think square really just road the success of the PS1 era through the ps2 era and its finally catching up with them. seriously look at the PS2 releases compared to the PS1. a lot of them are mediocre at best.
Although i thought FFXII was much better than FFX character and story wise all very true to the world of Ivalice and the voice acting was so much better (with the exception of Vann). I ...
Maybe this is just me clinging to the past but i never liked digital media. small games like those on the PSN are ok but for full fledge games I want a disk, cartridge, whatever something tangible. there is something about being able to see your collection on a shelf, pull one off open it and look through the mannuel. and there is nothing greater than going to the store for a game you've been waiting for 6 months, a year or longer, opening it up for the first time and popping it in to the con...
fanboys need to get a hold of themselves, hes gave an old build of the game a "B" which, aside from being impressive, means that it could easily turn into an "A." Also not everything needs to get an "A" or 10/10 to be good. There is this thing called subjectivity maybe these fanboys should look it up.
ya i was really surprised about Alen Wake too. halo wars might be interesting though too, I'd like to try it wonder if it will be on PC?
Anyway ps3 2009 looks way better
WKC
Killzone 2
Uncharted 2
Infamous
and hopefully
God of War 3
Heavy Rain
It easily beats the 360 list for me. maybe one of the 5 RPGs sony is working on will drop in 09' as well, though i don't think they will start hitting until at least 2010.
I disagree, I don't think SE is a bad developer because of the new IPs they've attempted, I think they are a bad developer because they've flooded the market with a buch of bad spin-offs and and remakes. despite the technical flaws of last remnant it actually looks like a good game, IU i don't know enough about to say anything, but the world ends with you was good. the constant stream of DS/PSP remakes is what really put a bad taste in my mouth.
I think SE's real problem is that ...
no legend of dragoon was developed by sony's internal studios
I have a DS and i would much rather have a psp. the only games on the DS i enjoy enough to keep are pokemon and Izuna. I also have zelda, sonic, puzzle quest, metriod, etc. but really the only thing stoping me from selling it is pokemon. If i had a psp i would have patapon, FFT, God of War, Star Ocean 1 and 2, Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, wipeout, Valkrie Profile and have Resistance Retribution, parasite eve and Final fantasy agito to look forward to.
I think you need to read the comment 1.6 left
I have an 80gb model and have had no issues with any of my ps2/ps1 games.
I've never had a problem playing any PS2 games on my 80GB (MGS4bundle) PS3 so i don't see why it would be a problem.
I would love to see another Panzer Dragoon Saga and Skies of Arcadia made mostly because I've heard really good things but have never played them. right now I'm playing VC and love it.
LBP isn't just for kids. if you took 2 seconds to pull your head out of your a** maybe you'd realize some gamers actually enjoy games that don't focus on blood guns and photo realism.
the game is amazing i can't put it down. i spent so much time playing this game when I should have been studying for my midterm.
@spectyre
lol YES!! Jann is the best! i use him every time i need a second lancer.
Jann + Largo FTW
I admit I overlooked Okami when it came out for the ps2, but keep in mind that there where a lot of games to choose from on the ps2 as well. a lot of people overlooked it, but word got out out about how good it was, which IMO is one of the reasons it did well the second time around on the wii. It wouldn't be the first time a game was overlooked on the ps2, look at ico. the sales where not great but again word got out about a good game and if you look at the teams next project it did considera...
you know i felt the same way but after playing naruto UNS i think QTE could actually be fun I never liked them until that game eased me into them. hopefully sonic does a good job with them.
I have a DS and would much rather have a psp. I want a lot more of the games on the psp than I do on the DS. FFT (i don't like the FFTA series), Patapon, Daxter, God of War, Star Ocean, FFVII:CC, wipeout, Valkrie profile, Ys: ark of napishtim, parasite eve, +ps1 games that can be bought off the psn (mainly wild arms). on the DS the only games I really enjoy are pokemon, mario kart, izuna and the small screen gives me a headache.
