both sony's and MS's motion controlers are going to fail. Why?
-it doesn't come standard with the system.
-the user base has some strange aversion to motion controls
-motion controls tend to be directed at casuals who arent going to want to spend at least 199.99 on a system and another ~$200 on motion controls in MS case (in sony's case 399.99 on a system and probably ~$100-$150 on motion controls: ps-eye + at least 2 controllers)
-third party support for these types ...
nintendo actually had a fairly good showing. Seriously New super mario bros wii, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Golden Sun DS, Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid project M. they just f'ed it up by boreing everyone with teeny-bop games a good portion of the conference.
the speakers didn't help either, they should get some people that are actually interesting to listen to. both MS and Sony had good speakers.

the natal demonstration was fantastic, but microsoft didn't really show me a whole lot on the software side to get excited about. sony, on the otherhand, showed a bunch of games and got me really hyped for them. both on the PS3 front and the PSP. I guess thats why i own a PS3/PSP and not a 360.
Sony's motion controls unveiling looked very rushed, they probably decided to throw it in there after MS natal presentation just so they could show something to "compete" with it...
I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at, but its probably a good idea to keep in mind that microsoft gets 1.5 hours to talk about the 360 while sony has to divide up the time between three platforms.

honestly I think both natal and the PS3 motion controls will fail. Natal looked way more impressive, but how much is that going to cost? Sony's motion controls seemed a lot more economical while still providing a similar kind of experiance.
I really want to play that one natal game with the monster destroying the city though. lol :P
am I the only one who enjoyed the brutal diffculty? seriously de-level. the sound of it made me cry lol. leveling up in FFXI in it of itself felt incredibly rewarding.
There are way too many great games making there way to PS3/PSP. I might get the PSP go when it goes down in price. I have PSP-3000 so I don't think I need a PSP go just yet I also like physical media over digital.
that being said I'd probably just buy a Wii insted of the PSP go seeing as they are the same price and all.

I enjoyed FFXI way more than WoW. The Community was way better too, a lot less douches running around at least on my server.
I checked to see if my characters were still there maybe 3 weeks ago Its been about 9 months since i had one of the characters activated and over a year for another one and both were still there so they might still have your character, but three years is a long time.
doesn't matter. My FFXI addiction is going to be making a come back!
MGS2 was originally only released on the PS2. they re-released the game on the Xbox and PC with subsistence. the PS2 version was probably just for PS2 owners who either hadn't bought the game or wanted the content that the xbox version had.
