I played the Japanese demo and the combat system seems interesting. I can't read Japanese so its a bit hard to play and i can't get a really good feel of whether or not I would like it, but it does seem like if you liked any of the series included in the game you might like it, if for nothing else than the fan service.
Does IGN's Review actually determine whether or not you will like a game?
EDIT: I see, so because some people on the internet dislike a game you (or anybody for that matter) are definitely incapable of enjoying. it makes perfect sense now.
ya i definitely see the similarity between sly and infamous. i think it became really apparent after going through one of the underground sections. its just something about the level design and how the controls feel that is very much like sly cooper.
lol i wouldn't be buying any of those games anyway.
right because FPS games have changed so much since quake right?
@1.7
I don't consider Demons souls or Valkyria Chronicles JRPGs. Demons souls is an Action RPG and despite being made in Japan is more closely aligned to WRPGs like Diablo or Oblivion. Valkyria Chronicles is a SRPG. i guess if you really want to you can consider it a JRPG, but i tend to group games that play like Dargon Quest, Star Ocean, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, and Final Fantasy as JRPGs. <...
What new first party IPs did the GC have outside of pikmin? honestly if you want nintendo to go head to head with microsoft and sony, you want nintendo to go the way of the dreamcast. unlike sony and MS nintendo only does videogames. last gen I thought nintendo would be the next to go. thankfully i was wrong. nintendo is still putting out great games, but all people are looking at is the third party shovelware.
GC is the black sheep in nintendo's console history.
I would probably agree with you for FPS games (shoot m'ups i prefer the symmetry in the DS3), but the shoulder buttons on the 360 controller is just terrible IMO. Its so uncomfortable to have fingers on both the bumpers and triggers at the same time. DS3 is my controller of choice.
I pirated it, and I'm glad i did. It didn't run well on my aging laptop, the game was boring as hell, and the retail version had that terrible DRM crap. Thank god I didn't waist my money on that POS.
most people who pirated the game never would have bought the game to begin with.
I don't think it really matters when it comes out so long as it is coming to the PSN. I was really jealous when they announced it for the 360 and not the PSN, but I'm better now :)
Turtles in time was the best TMNT game released IMO, I don't know where you get off thinking it was terrible.
same here. right now I'm only downloading games for my PSP, that way when I do upgrade to the PSP Go, i won't have to worry about my UMDs. I hope they release it on the PSN so I can pick it up.
IGN is only one review and in fact some sites did give it a 9.
If you were interested in prototype you really shouldn't let one review persuade you otherwise. Its just one opinion and its no better than anyone elses. some of my favorite games got 6/10 or less, Izuna for the DS and Lair for the PS3 are two really good examples.
gametrailers always has too many spoilers, if I'm really looking forward to a game I never check GT.
just get a PC. Valve is first and foremost a PC game developer, the reason their games are on the 360 is because its an easy port.
well Diablo 3 isn't an MMO but considering how many hours people are going to sink into that game I guess it might as well be.
I just bought a 400gb HDD from amazon for $73. I'm going to start storing my movies/anime and some music on my PS3.
most games I've seen on the PSN are between 300mb and 700mb (Jean d'Arc is 678mb, Killzone Liberation is 510mb, Patapon 2 is 362mb, Ratchet and Clank size matters is 762mb, wipeout pure is 156mb). there are others that are as low as 45mb (everyday shooter, echochrome). a few of them are 1gb or more, but not that many on the PSN.
I don't see how LBP isn't a pure platformer. What about LBP makes you say its not a pure platformer? I'd say its a pure platformer that provides the tool set to make your own levels.
