It could be another RPD Officer. just a thought. but I like the idea of having different possible outcomes.
There was a time when I desired sequels to games from square, Now I'd rather they just didn't. I don't want them to fu*k up good games.
@Enate
"I could honestly give a **** about playing a 20 year old game. The only two games from past Playstations is Xenogears and Suikoden II. Both of which I can play in multiple other ways."
First off I love Xenogears and am replaying it right now actually. maybe retro gaming is only important to the minority of us but I still love going back setting up my NES and playing River City Ransom, Super Mario Bros, Contra or setting up my GEN and playing...
I'm actually more surprised nobody made the point that in another ten years your PS3 or 360 will probably be broken and backwards compatibility in future generations is questionable. my ps3 broke after 2 years my brothers after 4. these consoles are not as reliable as say the NES SNES GEN and N64. hell my NES still runs like it did in the late 80's. I may not be able to play PS3 games 20 years from now, I'm still able to play PC games from 20 years ago on my current PC.
It is when a parasite eve game should be getting 4 or 5 stars, hell I'd give the PS1 game 4 or 5 stars being released as is today.
it has 3 stars, so yes, it is playable and I've played games with much lower ratings and enjoyed them . . .however I lost interest in the game when they showed the otaku fan service. For Jesus Fucking christ Japan! does every goddamn thing need this ridiculous pubescent boy fan service?
I'm buying the PS1 game off th...
NGP Is too big and too expensive for me, as nice as the hardware looks, I'm not paying $300 for a portable gaming device. as far as digital downloads go, I'm ok with paying normal prices for PC games on Steam, but yes $50 is outrageous for a portable game. I don't plan on buying physical media again for portable gaming but I'm glad sony through in the option.
I love my PSP Go <3. but sony needs to start dropping prices of those digital games. I will never pay more than ~$20 on a portable game and if I am paying $20 it better be damn good! some of the games on the store need to be dropped to $10 or sony needs to have more sales. I've spent way more money on steam just because of impulse buys from really good sales. hell i was only mildly interested in metro 2033 when I bought it and I guarantee i would never have bought it if it wasn't o...
@vsr
I still play PS1/PS2/GC/SNES/NES/etc. games. graphics are low on the priority list. I'm replaying Xenogears right now and after that I'm going to replay Parasite Eve. I plan on playing Okami(PS2) as well as Fatal frame 1 & 2. I also feel that if you go back and play many of the gems of previous generations you'll find level design to be mostly better they're generally more fun, more open, and more interesting.
As others have said good...
@Istanbull
Jesus Christ! thank you! I really enjoyed Lair as well. I feel like if you got over the learning curve you enjoyed enjoyed the game. I played with motion controls and couldn't imagine playing it any other way!
The US servers are going down towards the end of this year unless atlus extends it again, but the Asia servers are run by Sony (i think) and aren't in risk of being taken down. . .at least so far as I know. I have both NA and Asian copies so I'm playing the US one until the servers go down and then switching to the asian version
This guy should have wrote an Opinion piece not a review. I don't want a review telling me what to do with my money, just tell me how the game plays and judge it on that merit. I'll judge the price point for myself.
having played the demo, I can say I've lost all interest in this game. combat was extremely dull and repetitive. I thought DAO was a great tactical RPG and even if the story was pretty much your run of the mill Tolkien fantasy the character Dialog really pushed the game forward. I was really looking forward to this, but sorry Bioware I'm not interested in playing a shallow Action game.
As for all the fuss about time, I'd rather have a 20 hour game filled with mea...
I agree with Visualb I played Demon's souls for Hundreds of hours and loved the challenge. for the (probably) 20~30 hours i put into morrowind I found it mostly just frustrating and if I gave any one single reason it was the combat. Morrowind's combat drove me batshit insane.
Exactly! I don't care how fantastic Morrowind's world/story may have been in comparison, the combat was a complete turn off. Just fix the leveling system in Oblivion and I'll be a happy camper.
Only really concerned with The Last Guardian on that list everything else I'll just rent or borrow from a friend if i really want to play it. maybe buy Killzone 3 and LBP2 when they are way cheaper. not on the list I'm really interested in Journey.
I'm pretty sure there are hundreds of other games that fit that criteria. please go play those instead. Mirrors Edge offers a very unique experience for those that want it. it would be terrible to lose that in favor of an experience you can get from most other fps/tps games.
It needs a sequel because:
a. it was an amazing fresh game with some flaws that could be easily rectified in a sequel. (in other words the game has a hell of a lot more potential than was realized in the first game)
b. at the end of mirrors edge it felt like the story demanded a sequel and could actually use one
c. I just want more Faith
you can like whichever you want more, just saying I had more fun and preferred playing Heavenly Sword multiple times than I ever did playing a God of War game.
Call me crazy, but I actually prefer Heavenly Sword over God of War. I like the block and combo system more and jumping is overrated. not to mention the amazing voice work, story and animation. I thought the length was fine as well.
still really not seeing what your point is. Capcom and Slant 6 have been pretty clear on their intention with this game is and thats not a typical Resident Evil game. The Concept behind the game sound s good to me so I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
