You say this backwards compatibility issue has really pi**ed you off, because you can't play your catalogue of PS2 games on a PS3 and you won't buy two consoles.Hey, where is your original PS2 console? It wouldn't by any chance have died on you would it? I accept you are upset about this, but of all the reasons i can think of to not to buy a PS3, this is not the strongest motive, surely.
Well, i'll tell you why i don't like playing video games WITH girls and thats, because they remind me there's better ways to be spending my time, than playing video games.Hmmm girls are cool, even at my age.
I'm tempted to instantly agree with the guys above and say yes, photo -realism matters. But i would just like to qualify that a bit more, before i pledge alliegance to the almighty graphics gods. afterall, we have been playing games for decades now and the first game characters consisted of not much more than stick figures.I don't think we enjoyed those games any less than we enjoy the modern, graphic intensive games we play today. So,it may be its what we have become accustomed to rather than wh...
I image that we will have the usual 'BUNDLES' restriction applied by some retailers.Works out Very ,very expensive setup.Good luck if you can afford all that. To say this has very much to do with import duties is not true.Yes they are higher, but the PS3 price is disproportionate to this.Drop your price Sony or you may be dropping playstation brand before the dust settles.I want a PS3,really i do, but at that price and with no real blockbuster games to tempt me in to lunacy, i'm afraid i'll w...
I don't have a PS3 and at its current price, won't be getting one. However, wipeout is one of the few games that could tempt me from my 360. I don't like motorstorm type games and motorstorm itself, by all accounts has some frame rate and speed issues, so i'm not convinced.Wipeout has a special place in my gaming history and anything less than brilliant will not be enough.
They are almost in the price range of a trendy door stop!
Yes its terrible, play halo one :) Couldn't agree more
Personally, i much prefer a paid, AD free service, but how about the silver service offering same services as gold, but you get advertising and no charge. We could then have a paid for gold service with no advertising for those that choose it.My view is once you accept advertising in the lobbies etc it's a slippery slope..Keep your gold 'PURE'
I've no doubt that PS3 will, initially at least, sell well in the U.K. The Sony brand is known worldwide for its Playstation console and there are countless people willing to buy purely on that reputation.
I don't see any real problem for Sony unless time passes and they fail to deliver good games and exclusives. The real sticking point after launch in the U.K is price. After the hardcore fans have what they want, the average joe simply will not pay Sony's asking price.I for one, would l...
Yeah, i understand why you would think that, the siganl being digital and all. There's a tendency for people to think that digital signals don't suffer from any interference, but that isn't strictly true. All i can say is, if you are happy with your cable and it works for you, then i respect your decision. However, if you get a chance, just stick a high quality cable on there and see if there's any difference. You know, just for fun.
Sorry to make an issue of this, but again you start your last post with "Clearly you do get more for your money" you then go on to talk about an investment??Let me ask you to clarify what you mean by more for your money.Simply saying something doesn't make it so.An investment, get a grip, this a toy we are talking about. It will not increase in value over the years,it won't give you any kind of return on your 'investment' other than maybe a bit of fun playing computer games. There is n...
No it isn't. Like any cable, its a link to something else. If what is links to is poor quality, than the cable cannot make it better. If however, a top quality cable links to a top quality device, then the cable can help maintain that quality.Thats why you pay $100 for a high quality cable.
In what way more bang for your buck with PS3? Do you mean the old arguement of getting a 'Blue ray' disk player built in and it works out cheeper than buying a stand alone player would be.Well, you know what, thats false economy to me. It's like going in to a supermarket and buying a two for one deal on steak. Doesn't matter that i'm a vegetarian and therefore have no use for steak. No, whats important is that i can get two steaks for the price of one.Thing is, unless you specifically want a Bl...
I dislike E.A and all they stand for. Publish a next gen version of M.U.L.E , then we'll talk.
Yes, i agree with your comment. I'm in the older range for gamers and while i have become more selective in what i play over the years, i still consider gaming in the same way as watching T.V ,reading a book or indeed, browsing the internet. It's relaxation for when you get time off from the normal daily routine of work, family and so forth.I certainly won't be giving it up simply because i'm older.
I know where you are coming from 'THE TRUTH' i remember the days of Sega 'add ons' as well. And you are right, that was stupidity on the part of Sega. However, i do see this situation differently, because if this is essentially the same machine except for larger hdd (which may well come to the original 360 anyway) and the addition of a hdmi, then there is no functional difference for games. i.e same games will run on both with no additional coding. So machine could be sold as an 'additional choic...
Yes, of course. In this generation? Very unlikely. In this generation of consoles? Get a life.
I think your comments are way off on this one. In game of this quality,in this generation of consoles. Naah. Maybe, just maybe, on leading edge graphic PC's. Our consoles are not really that powerful in reality.Nice pic though.Of course i could be wrong, but i don't think so on this occasion.
Yeah.Well i'm very serious about playing my games uninterrupted.Stay outta my way google, or i might just change my search page, so there.
I suspect, that of the 3 next -gen consoles the Wii has the smallest niche market. Therefore, its obviously going to dry up first and leave the two big boys to battle it out. I don't think thats a revelation to anyone, least of all Nintendo.
