Square, or anyone else for that matter is in business to make money, not to win friends.I think It'll go 360 after a short exclusivity period. From a gamers point of view, the less exclusives the better,it means we can get the game for which ever platform we have.I don't understand many of the comments posted, suggesting games should stay exclusive.I understand from a Sony or Ms perspective, keeping exclusive games helps sell consoles, but to the gamer it only means having to buy more than one c...

See,how my boy is the only one marching in time! While i truly respect Mr Thompsons motives, because lets face it, who the hell over the age of fifteen is gonna play GTA ? I do think he is slightly ridiculous in his condemnation of many games he attacks. With GTA however, i think he has a point. It's marketed as adult, but clearly from my experience, its mostly kids playing it.We do have to safeguard our young from dodgy distributors. Just ,because you have good lawyers doesn't make you truthful...

if this is true,or at least buy one, then eat it.Has Ms confirmed it? Didn't think so.However, if some of the talk is distracted from PS3 european launch, i'm sure Microsoft won't be to rushed to deny it.C'mon guys, if this is true it makes MS worse than Sony in my eyes.

Why is the PS3 30x more powerful at folding? Don't get why Sony would make a games console with this type of power that, doesn't currently appear to benefit games? A strange design choice wouldn't you say? I have always thought the major design criteria for games consoles is graphics hardware. Please enlighten me someone, i genuinely don't get it.

My experience of next-gen games so far, is same as old -gen. 80% crap, 15% good and 5% great, no change there.I have loads of games on almost every platform you can think of that have never been completed.Only a few games are cherished and constantly replayed up to this day.Gamers are spoilt with regard to the number of consoles available, the quality of graphics and their relative power. However, this hasn't,in my opinion, made the good games to bad games ratio any different.Games are a very ...

Just a few minor points. Firstly,he didn't say PS3 is one to beat,he said Sony is one to beat, not automatically interchangeable. This is significant, because basically all this guy is stating, is the obvious. Why?Well, because he doeasn't want to bite the hands that feed him,MS and Sony. He's just doing a bit of PR for his company, nothing wrong with that, but he's cleverly promoting Epic without actually saying anything.Of course, he's right since SONY in this context, means PS3,PS2,PSP etc.Read i...

Have you tried talking into your controller or using your phone to control your PS3?

So that's 4 million copies at ,say $40.00 a pop,by my calculations that's $160 million so far. And devs are moaning about the cost of developing next gen games, Give me a break.

Reuseable electricity, thats what we need.On the PS3 contributing to global warming, well so does a billion farts.Global warming is a serious issue, but as already stated above, all electrical devices contribute to it,not just PS3.

however, the serious question is why does piracy of MS software exist in such large numbers? One possible answer is,no one likes being ripped off and thats exactly what MS does with every copy sold. Also the point regarding piracy ultimately benefiting MS, isn't really true. Many of the people that crack the software in the first place do not use MS software(Linux Unix anyone),in fact its the dislike of the MS global domination, that motivates many hackers. The people who use the pirated softwar...

You gotta be kidding, if you think the initial allocation won't sell. There are more than enough hardcore Sony fans to eat them up, even at the price. It's what happens after the initial rush thats interesting.Thats when the average gamers are left to make their choice.I'm watching with interest.

you ask 360 gamers what they think is the best online console and they reply , the xbox360.I'm just too shocked to continue.

Eight apple cores! Sounds like a powerful beast, but why so many cores?

More SKU's out there is not a good thing. It may lead to confusion for the average buyer and you have to be careful and make sure all are compatible. If this is true, i think MS are just trying to compensate for early mistakes i.e no standard hdd or hdmi and small hdd where supplied.

Another point of view,well said.

well, about the exclusives bit.Example if PS3 had a good next gen exclusive Wipeout game available,i would be queueing for a machine at the end of March. If 360 had same game, then i don't need a PS3 at the moment.Exclusives can sell machines, but i suspect we will see less and less of them due to production costs of games sky rocketing.Devs can't afford to develop for one platform and the likes of MS and Sony can't afford to buy them off anymore.

in GDC stand for ? Why is it not T for Technical? Something to do with producing games not tech demos, i believe.Anyway, i welcome all views, as they are all valid in my eyes and would never want to silence anyone ,because i don't agree or ,because i think they are wrong, but hey, thats just me.Some people are not so tolerent, i guess.

i think we may be getting lost in something that really doesn't relate to why we would buy a PS3. That's not to say this stuff isn't impressive, relatively speaking, but this won't sway me to buy a PS3 in a couple of weeks, when released in U.K. Give me the games and a price cut, far more impressive. Hopefully i'm not being negative, just practical from a gamers point of view.

While the cancellation of the core pack seems like a good idea, it sort of negates, to some extent, the recent introduction of the half gig memory card. Why would you want half gig memory card if hdd becomes standard?I Don't get the black hdmi model at all, i think this is just rumour talk.
