I wished all games that turn to movies used high end CGI. I'd hate to see someone like Matt Damon play Nathan Drake etc.
Also, with CGI, you are more connected to the character as everyone has those actors that they just dislike straight away.
"...though saying only open world games get repetitive is just plain dumb."
Agreed. Games for me that got repetitive and boring were Waw, MW2, Gears 3, and they were all linear as hell.
I know he wants improvement, as we all probably do. But I think it is the more linear games that are in dire need of fixing at the moment TBH.
It's especially funny considering they have yearly releases with Assassin's Creed.
New gen = smaller fanbase = less sales.
I'd expect to hear this from a developer/publisher that don't have yearly releases. Also, they even rushed AC3 out with a crap load of bugs.
I hate games where you can't swim. God like the old Zelda games on the GameBoy.
For this gen it is inexcusable. Games like Red Dead and AC1 were so freaking annoying because you couldn't swim.
If you can't swim, then stop having magical water that pulls you into it. Have an invisible barrier if you are going to be that lazy with game design.
I was thinking the same damn thing lol. I knew the intelligent internet community would firstly point that out lol.
It would be funny if that picture was taken without the Zoom option on and from a few metres away. It's like an oversized mutated melon.
Agreed. Some people say exclusives don't matter, but they do. Exclusivbes generally push the boundaries of what a console can do, using an angine that is taking advantage of every little thing the console has to offer.
In saying that, we must first wait for an exclusive game on the Wii U to properly judge its graphics.
^^Affirmative.
Prices vary from XBL Store and the PSN store.
The biggest gripe I have, as you said is that I rarely have time to use it. That's why I buy 1 month at a time whenever a game comes out.
The sometimes have good deal on Family packs (4 for the price of 2), which I got one year, but then I had only played online for like 150 hours in 9 months (that's not that much, I checked my stats on the website).
Also, WTF is the point in the number of...
God I have been waiting for them to announce or at least give hints atwhat the next DLC's will contain.
I want a level cap increase and good story elements TBH.
But then they can blame Sony and we can have "Sony's PS3 is under attack by hackers" articles all over again. /s
People who get banned only have themselves and/or whoever dropped them on their head when they were young.
I'm probably being to harsh. I actually did find the Dom scene a bit emotional.
I think by the time they hired Karen Traviss to try and do the Gears series justice (in terms of storytelling) with Gears 3, it was too late.
She did a good job with what they left her. The books are actually fantastic (read the first 2, the Indi war and Emergence day)
I keep forgetting to mention Halo 4, as it only just came out. Halo Reach had a sad ending, the one how your mission was to 'survive'.
Unfortunately, Telltale Games aren't planning on releasing The Walking Dead over here (Australia), which is crappy, and doesn't make me think very highly of them (although, I suppose they are a business)>
Hopefully we get the Retail Walking Dead game next year, although the developers have a very average his...
Gears of War 3? How?
I am a huge Gears fan btw, so no-one better pull the "your a ps3 fanboy" BS.
Gears 3 was an excellent game, it's just that the biggest 'emotional scene' (you know which one), was not that great IMO. It was better than I expected (not saying much), but the series didn't set up any characters you really cared about, so it felt forced.
This isn't "top 5 favourite games" list or anythin...
Cool. I just need to beat AvP on Nightmare and then I am starting Lost Odyssey. Heard so many wonderful things about it.
Every now and again I get to play a game where every single comment is positive. Much like Alan Wake and Heavy Rain. Speaking of which, Alan Wake wasn't on this list!
Whether it was necessary or not, it is still true. Some games can have good SP and MP. It is just very hard to do and almost always results in one being weaker than the other.
Great news.
Although MP is good, it is only good when it is well thought out, and not just tacked on.
I can't help but think Bioshock 2 suffered from adding in Multi-player. Single player, story oriented games should remain just that.
I HATE tacked on MP (Assassin's Creed MP feels tacked on IMO, although it is fun, it is very basic).
Exactly. Mothers buy this game for their little kids every day (just go into any game store and you will see it happen all the time), and then complain about sexually explicit images? What about the violence?
Either way, it just goes to show that once again violence is okay, sex isn't. It also shows that the parents have the IQ of used toilet paper as their kids are underaged in any case.
You buy a kid something they shouldn't have and then expect a b...
If you gain bubbles, do you evolve into Combusken and then Blaziken? Always wanted to know.
"Just a lot of dolphins with thunder-cocks..."
*Rushes out and buys Black Ops 2*
@Baba
It's a complicated issue. For one, the ability to swim gives you more freedom, although it is harder to get the controls right for it.
If it is done right, that is excellent. If you are selling a game about 'survival' though, taking the ability to swim away isn't very flattering, especially coupled with the regenerative heath thingy.
In some of the trailers she was getting thrown around in rapids, so I think water will ...
