Agreed. The ads themselves aren't distracting, but it is the fact that I am paying for a service and have to see the ads which is annoying.
They could use that money to help devs patch broken games, instead of charging excessive fees. There needs to be more competition in gaming, so the worst offenders have to change.
“I mean, it costs $40,000 to put up a patch,”
Trying to play AvP online on the Xbox 360. It's broken as hell. Region locked searching, meaning it is impossible for someone from 1 country to find someone from another. Absolute mess.
I blame SEGA for being A-holes, I also blame Rebellion for not making it properly, and I blame Microsoft for their stupid excessive fees. They only care about money, while us gamers are the ones who suffer.
Where is Sherlock Holmes? How can we ever decipher this code?
How do I read right to left?
Well, I myself never really bought the whole 'sexy' thing. It is hard for me to take a female 'heroine' seriously when they are wearing nothing but a g-string.
Just my opinion. Don't think that is sexist at all, just personal taste.
Ripley was vulnerable. You felt for her, as she seemed like an average woman. No combat training, yet she was facing a horde of xenomorphs when everyone around her (even elite colonial marines) was dying. That...
Agreed. People can't forget that a lot of mothers can't tell shit from clay.
When my younger brother asked for Yu-Gi-Oh cards years ago, when they first came out, my Mother was asking people where to get these "UDL" cards. Yeh.....UDL is pre-mixed Vodka. *Facepalm
Because it is hard. Some of my favourite movies of all time are because of a strong female heroine. Aliens (Ripley), Terminator 2 (Sarah Connor).
I believe it is very hard to make a convincing female hero. They can't make her a sexual object (sorta like the tomb raider movies), but at the same time can't be to aggressive, so much so that it becomes unconvincing.
Some people try too hard to have a strong female character, and they forget they they are ...
Yay they had the Halo 3 legendary Edition. I love it so much. I have 2. One is still sealed :) The helmet looks so freaking awesome, so shiny.
I also give it credit for making the "limited limited" editions more popular.
For me: January- Ni no Kuni (that GameInformer cover made me fall in love with it)
February: Aliens, Bioshock.
March: Gears of War, God of War.
Easy pickings, although I'm only getting a few of them day 1.
Agreed. It;s the same at the V8's (Australia here.....) and the Formula One Grand Prix. I felt sorry for some of them, as there were always the juvenile little kids (you know, the type of little boys who think they have a 'chance'), and then there were the old, smelly drunk guys who went to far.
I am a male, but I think that job all together, whether for a male or female, is degrading and should be illegal. And why do people expect them to know about games (as the...
Killzone 2, Resistance 1,2,3 (loved them), Starhawk, Uncharted 3.
Never really cared much for the multi-plats online, except for Bioshock 2 which was laggy.
I'd love for them to go head to head. It would be amazing. One of the fiercest battles to take place.
It would be awesome to see who has the better launch line-up.
I think Sony and Microsoft know they will be releasing pretty close to each other, so I have a feeling they are going to throw everything at its release. Multiple exclusive franchises continued, maybe new cool IP's.
Can't wait, I'll bring the popcorn.
The funniest game was Goldeneye 64. I think it was DK mode or something.
Ratchet and Clank was hilarious with it also.
I think every game should have the big head mode cheat after you have beaten it. It was especially funny in Gears 3 when it was a playlist one week.
@SilentNegotiator
The animations in that thing are horrible. They are worse than Goldeneye 64 LMAO. It reminds me of the end of Terminator 1, when the termintor does some weird bum rush behind them.
Exactly what I was thinking. I checked outside to see if it was raining fire...it wasn't. I then proceeded to punch myself in the nuts, and I felt it.
For once Patcher might be right. Although it seems more like common sense TBH.
Although I still had fun with Mario Bros 2, it was so weird. So different and stupid. At least they made up for it with SMB3.
“Ugh, you should see that abomination the Army trains on [… the EST 2000] has a controller shaped like an M4 or M16 and graphics like a Dire Straights music video.”
I laughed so hard. This guy sounds awesome. Anyone who likes Fallout and Killzone is awesome in my books. And to boot he is trained in military combat...neat.
Metro Last Light comes out next year. So does Colonial Marines. I am getting both, being a huge fan of the Alien universe and I loved Metro 2033.
Yes but you have to look at what was on offer last year. Much more games.
Resistance 3
Gears of War 3
Uncharted 3
Battlefield 3
MW3
Assassin's Creed Revelations
Batman AC
And many more. This year in this time period we have had basically Halo 4, Blops 2, AC3, Borderlands 2. Then the smaller games like Dishonored, slepping dogs etc.
Haha your picture is all the funnier considering the topic at hand.
Does anyone know what this game is like on console? I have seen t on PC, and it looks great. Unfortunately I don't have a good PC, so that is not an option.
I just wanted thoughts on how it looks on consoles. Is it still fairly good? Cheers,
