"2 stars is average (what most people consider 50%."
Why not just give it a 2.5 then? The star method is broken. I get your point. Metacritic counts 4/5 as %80, but how often do gamnes get a 4.5?
To me, a 4/5 is more like 90%, as most -/5 ratings never go .5 intervals. That's why we need an industry standard of rating games....out of 10 or 100% (It's easiest).
I have 2 copies of Lost Odyssey (don't ask, long, painful story), and I am still yet to play it. I'm going to get into it soon, and I have heard nothing but positive things about it.
I think it was only 'underrated' because western audiences have different tastes to Japanese games, mostly JRPG'S.
"A number should not dictate how you feel about the game."
But if 95% of people disagree with the review score, what is the point in the review? If it isn't helping someone's decision in buying the game? I see your point, but the score isn't the be all end all. It is the consistency in reviews.
It's like complaining about bugs in one game, then letting them slide in another. At the end of the day, I don't care what score it gets,...
@LOGICWINS
Not at all. One of the let-downs I had with DS2 was that the story wasn't as good as it could have been, as they wanted it to cater to those that hadn't played the first.
Great game, I got the LE. I just hope that they can make this series continue, despite very poor sales and JoeMad leaving. Oh, and I am still awaiting news on the other DLC's to come.
Agreed. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I really noticed that reviewers were out to get Halo 4 this time. They were never so picky before this, and they happen to be overly picky with the best Halo since CE.
Almost like an anti-Halo brigade this time around. I just find it strange. Why did these same reviewers give a free pass to Reach when this is much better, according to me and 95% of Halo fans.
Agreed. It's because they feel the need to justify their tech. Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony are all guilty of this unfortunately. They should leave the gimmicks for casual games, and not try to force them into, well, the opposite of casual games I guess lol.
@beerkeg
Sssshhhhhhh!! (It makes him feel.....special)!
Or if the power goes out? Or if someone else turns it off mistakenly? A rat nibbles on the power cord? A herd of elephants comes into your house and trips on the power cord? Or if a T-rex................
You get my point. Fact is, Nintendo is at fault either way. Who else is there to blame? (Please don't blame me).
Way to turn it into a Dexter fandom session lol ;)
Hmmm, could have sworn their was already a GOTY edition for this game....
I have it, but am yet to play it. Had fun with the others though..
@Candy
Exactly. Trine and Trine 2 were awesome on PSN (think they were on PC too..), but Xbox 360 only got the 2nd, and like 2 people have downloaded it.
I think it should be standard practice by now to include prequels along side the sequel (Provided the platform is getting the sequel to a game that isn't available).
I just hope the gameplay is fixed. The only thing stopping Metro 2033 from being an absolute complete experience was the s...
I'm trying to platinum Asylum right now. Trying to do those freaking freeflow and predator challenges :(
Arkham Asylum is amazing. One of those games you have to play. Arkham City is even better. If you get a Wii U and haven't played it before, it's a no brainer. Don't get put off by the underpants over suit thingy either, it's an excellent game lol.
That would be awesome. I hope Metro 2033 comes to PS3, as it was a truly wonderful game. I only played it this year, and thought it was very good. The atmosphere and story rival Bioshock's. Outstanding.
Far Cry 2 had generic but fun MP. The map editor in Far Cry 2 (consoles) is the best I have seen, even better than Forge in Halo.
I really hope FC3 has a great SP. Hell, I'd even settle for a sequel to the original, it used to be so much cooler.
@Prcko
"WHAT IS ALIAS???"
@ChronoJoe
I worked it out. GTAV should take you about negative 7- negative 12 hours. So you should have it completed before you are able to pick it up. Talk about speed run lol.

That's the Red Dead Face Off on Digital Foundry/Eurogamer. For anyone wondering.
"Dan Houser said non of their games are ports."
That's sad. If that is true, they need to hire another team to do the PS3 version. By no means were GTA4 or RDR bad on PS3, it's just that RDR was worse in every possible sense on PS3 somehow.
Hopefully it turns out like LA Noire, as at least that showed that PS3 was the lead platform.
@Soldier
A lot of my friends who love Cod hated Black Ops 1, but then my friends who didn't like it said it was the best they have played.
I heard the story in Black Ops is actually quite good, and I'm hearing similar things with Black Ops 2. I am going to borrow Black Ops 1, and if the story is good, count me in for BLops2.
Haven't played episode 3 yet. The first 2 were a bit hit and miss with me. Probably play it tonight, as the new weekly challenges should be out! (I'm sitting on 26 completed, still no achievement for completing 25 lol).
