My ranking:
1. UC2: Fantastic writing, combined with steadfast pacing and some fantastic level design. One of my fav games ever
2. TLOU: An absolute gem, with one of the best endings in a video game, I don't think I've ever felt so conflicted with such an ending. Its writing and pace was great. Second only cause I enjoyed UC's general lvl design more
3. UC4: Another one of my favorite games ever, the graphics still blow me...
Nothing, never claimed I was an insider lmao. Didn't know I had to cite sources on N4G lmao. But as you seem to be the N4G lead analyst. My statement is based off of two sources, the first being Jason Schrier's book Love Sweet and Pixels and Amy's numerous interviews in which she states, that she put in two years of work and had left over creative differences.
Does that satisfy the N4G academic requirements Professor Spuds?
As far as I know it was a creative difference not a hostile takeover. ND simply didn't want to go with Amy's vision and she was basically like yeah I'm done peace out
@Atticus_finch
Whats your basis for stating its false? Cause as far as I know having gone to a top 5 engineering school and having been to multiple recruiting events. Microsoft is constantly at the top of recruitment desires.
Would love to see your metrics for assessing engineering talent lmao
Seems like the only way to ensure stability both vertically and horizontally
Based on the size measurements, this thing is going to be HUGE loll. I didn't think a console could bigger than the PS3 launch unit. But PS5 surely will take that cake, my only hope is that the vertical stand comes shipped with the console
Microsoft has some of the best engineers on the planet working there. Only the 13 year olds still defending their mom's purchase from 6 years ago thinks Microsoft is somehow inferior when it comes to hardware design
Can't read huh its alright
You have FH3, Ori 2, FM6 and Titanfall
I'd wait till Black Friday on that sound bar. I got a full outdoor Sonos set for literally almost 70% off during holiday sales. Not to mention I think if you have the current Platinum headset for PS4, you should be able to get the 3D Audio right off the back. I could be wrong however and Sony might have dumped it for the new Pulse 3D
Curious if they'll have Salesforce Tower in here too. Would be odd to not include it, but man I hope we get a destroyed LA too either via expansion or in the main game
Its basically GT Sport with Ray Traced reflections and even there somewhat limited. They also upgraded the engine to add Dynamic weather and time of day as the trailer showed. It's not the vast leap that one expected
One of the things that I find funny about the N4G crowd is that many argue that Breath of the Wild is over-rated, not the best Zelda game, etc. When referencing the fact that it has a 97 Metacritic in the modern era of gaming, people will counter with oh its paid reviews in general basically siting that Metacritic is not a fair assessment.
Yet you see SO many of these same people go around praising TLOU P2 and siting its universal acclaim in Metacritic at a 96. Obviously i...
I'll take the leap in graphical fidelity over 60 FPS. Those games that aim for a 60 FPS target will never be able to push graphical fidelity above what PS4 is already punching at which is fine for platformers like this
Yeah I mean even with a naked eye it was clear to see that reflections were real time, as characters moving were reflecting which SSR simply can't do. Nonetheless if this is the leap in fidelity we're getting I could not be more excited about next-gen
The guy from Insomniac said Ray Traced reflections on Clank. But from the looks of the gameplay it was using Ray Traced reflections for everything in general
Ratchet and Clank for me, the remake is one of my favorite games this generation and I am so glad Insomniac is fully committed to the titles for the near future
Presuming the level of fidelity is matching the in-engine trailers. This game would really be pushing graphical fidelity for shooters. Excited to see the July showcase
@Vulgaris
The campaign was way too short with its best moments just being cutscenes. It was bad and absolute trash by Halo standards.
Overrated on what regards? The same universal acclaim from reviewers on Metacritic are what many here use to justify the genre defining experiences of TLOU or God of War etc. If you don't use the basis for average critic scores as a basis for how a game is received. Than its utter pointless to ever compare games period
Man I am excited to see Playground's Fable reboot. The Forza Tech engine was pretty stunning to see in FH4. So wonder how its going to evolve for next-gen
I really think we're going to get a large share of first party titles as the showcase is supposed to be around 90 mins and its all first party.
