True, they also have the Playstation Suite coming out which I believe is compatible with Android devices (tablets, etc...).

So they might be looking more towards a digital penetration into the mobile tablet market in conjunction with supplying hardware that will run the PS Suite.

It's the less risky action on their part right now.

Portal 2 might get my money this month. But wouldn't mind getting Socom 4 down the line, the Beta is actually really good.

I agree that graphics are only part of what a game should be judged on.

To me performance and gameplay are more important parts of the whole mix.

Also gaming publications don't always have "unbiased" opinions. But again, they are opinions non-the-less. Performance, gameplay, and graphics wise Crysis 2 does not compete with many newer PS3 exclusives. It is simply too unoptimized to compete.

My opinion, so don't take it the...

I agree it looks good, but the performance issues keep it form being considered as having the "best graphics".

Crytek? No,

Dice? we will have to see, I love the battlefield games.

We can even broaden are talk to all genres. Fallout can easily suck up 50 hours of anyones gaming time and fit on one disc.

Again, it depends on the developers design.

And as I said, the majority of space nowadays, especially for newer PS3 exclusives, is dedicated towards uncompressed videos and 3D counterparts of each video. KZ3 being a prime example. I believe I've read somewhere the game code is only 9GB, but the space taken on the disc is over 40GB...

Metta scores prove nothing.

Did you know The Fight Lights Out got killed on Metta?
But user scores for it are great. I actually own it and think its awesome.

Did you know Crysis 2 holds a higher metta than KZ3 right now? But I enjoyed KZ3 more and thought it to be more polished.

Metta scores, and review scores in general for that matter, are opinion. They are nice to go off of if your not sure on something, but don't follow the...

Agreed,

It's good, especially in competitive industries such as gaming, to have two companies competing with each other.

As you said, both series do things the other can learn from. It's just up to the developer to implement the necessary changes to stay competitive.

In the end us fans get a better product.

While I can see how someone would argue that, since more space equals more room for code, etc.... But Generally extra space today is used to facilitate true HD video, uncompressed video, better textures, or more advanced game code.

So the games will look better, probably play much better with added features, etc.... But the gameplay length for the most part is not effected by space, but by developer design.

Disc splitting can also cause a decrease in qualit...

While I agree that GT5 is my game of choice as well in those categories, GT5 was not in the article.

They did a GT5 and Shift 2 comparison the other day. Might want to check that article out instead.

I think Forza has the edge on this one.

But I do like the hands in Shift on the wheel.

I played through the level on Soldier, which is normal, no problems at all.

So I highly doubt bumping it up one level of difficulty is going to matter.

5435d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I actually did the same thing, except at the very end with the 4 cloaked aliens.

But I cloaked through the rest of the level.

KZ2 was awesome. Loved that multiplayer as well.

But I still enjoy KZ3's, it is different, but still enjoyable.

I actually went back to KZ2 before KZ3 launch and there was lopsided games and campers as well. But so far no problems with KZ3 besides a few of those annoying snipers with the assault rifles. I would be playing it more but I've been busy with school, only clocked in 10 hours so far.

I might not be following, but 3D without glasses still requires both eyes.

And if you currently wear glasses, the 3D ones fit over top of them.

So if you can't experience 3D with them, how could you ever without them?

I might be missing something, so let me know if I am.

Haha, Hey all I commented on was the pop in and texture loading/changing.

I'm not questioning the interactivity at all. I used objects as weapons to, you don't need to extensively play the game to figure that out. But the physics are not that great on every object. Also I shoot things to, just to see how it behaves and found that quite a few things wont even register bullet holes.

All I was hinting at is that the game clearly struggles in the perfo...

Shoot the tree before or after it changes shape and loads what appears to be a whole other tree?

Stop talking as if Crysis 2 is the second coming of Jesus. It is a good game but not perfect, nor is KZ3.

If it looks better, but is pre-rendered, then whats the point in not pre-rendering it?

Not everything has to be all real time all the time, like the Cryengine 3 does. That my friend leads to inconsistent results (objects morphing in screen (trees for ex) and pop in) and variable framerates. Unless that was the developers issue and not the engines. And lets not blame hardware either because other developers are doing great things.

Are we going to start rend...
