Valve have a lot of teams developing different parts of their infrastucture. What is likely to have happened is that they told everybody to start working on the console supported steam features, and different teams had made different amounts of progress before they realised it would not be possible on the 360.
There were once hints of Linux steam features visible in various places on Valve's site/steam - so it has happened before.
Though, I do believe it ...
not sure why i get 7 disagrees for stating a fact :/

I just hope castle crashers ranked highly on it.
I think SWTOR may end up being the biggest exclusive of the year, though most of the sales will probably not actually be this year... (that is, if the mmo doesn't crash and burn like 90% of them)
GeoW3 certainly won't be the best exclusive of the year, but it probably will be the biggest purely by sales numbers.
TW2 was designed to be played with a controller
PC has far more exclusives than consoles, without even including 'last gen' PC games. Console gamers just don't know they exist because they are not heavily marketed.
sense is being made here
No reason why they should only be played on PC, but they may be better played on a PC.
I just HATE CG trailers in general because they cause hype when they say or show nothing about the actual games.
Games are about content, story, gameplay and general "feel" - a CG trailershows almost nothing which matters to a game and is just pure marketing with no meat.
Dead Island is a great concept but it got boring really fast, it lacks a 'soul' if you know what I mean - when compared to genuinely good games like Dead Rising, Halo, Time...
Yes, the gpu in the ps3 is worse than the gpu in the 360 - but not by a lot. The ps3's cell is capable of performing graphics calculations far better than a traditional CPU - infact it more than makes up for the shortfall of the gpu. The rendering just has to be programmed very differently (not pure OpenGL). I.E - they can use it very effectively for post processing rather than the usual fragment shaders.
The PS3's main advantage though, is the capacity of Blu-Ray. De...
€1000 would be quite cheap for an Apple product if it actually had good hardware in it. More like €5000 but then it wouldn't sell to idiots unless it had a big list of bad touch screen games to not even take advantage of the hardware :/
If Apple ever entered the console industry, expect something like the Wii every gen.
GTA4 was limited by the DVD formet (it's open world so it can't be multiple disks) and Skyrim will be the same, as with the future GTA5.
DVD was fine last gen for huge environments because the texture storage and file sizes in general were a lot smaller but with the higher quality graphics which current gen hardware is capable of pumping out they are struggling to fit content on the disk. (if they gimp graphics to replace the space with actual content then less people...
@DaTruth
Yes, but most games just upscale and make it look gritty/blurry.
this ^
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
Tekken 3 is the best one :P
Like a boss
if they miss any pixels at all then that means the screen isnt displaying an image at its native resolution which instantly means it looks a lot worse.
It physically isn't possible to scale an image without blurring unless it is a scale to the power of 2
but like... it hardly matters anyway, we are all used to slightly-sub-hd already.
i agree, fps is important for shooters
Motion control games are usually bad anyway :/
Why bother caring? You are only going to have the disk in once or twice.
