Activision (not blizzard) moba game = fail.
I'll stick to LoL and HoN because I honestly can't see a different moba game improving on them much. TBH they should build it directly into WoW as a different type of BG because that game needs some actual end game content.
No details about what game he was playing :O
It must have been dance central or something then.
The nutter needs more than 27 years tbh.
Fail link.
It's gamespot anyway though so meh, I'm not gonna go digging for it.
Any mmo that can have a large amount of players in one area.
The consoles simply don't have enough RAM to keep up the graphical quality that console gamers expect while also providing a greatly expansive environment.
Dalaran in WoW would have totally destroyed any console, i.e. it would simply have crashed. Sure, if you put the graphics down to minimum then it would probably be fine - but console games don't let you adjust the graphics and they won...
I 'upgraded' mine because of RRoD and the too-short-but-still-extended-w arrantee which had run out when mine finally decided to die.
So overall I spent about £600 on 2 xbox 360 consoles + however much it cost to have an XBL gold account from april 2006 till 3 months ago. (also had xbl on original xbox but I didn't know I was being ripped off back then so I won't count that)
I spent £800 on my gaming PC in 2008 and am going to get a ...
"up to 3.7gb of video memory in quad sli"
no thats not how it works, the video memory doesn't add when you add more cards... but anyway yeah.
The current gen consoles were ahead of affordable gaming PCs (something less than $1000) for about a year.
The next generation will be interesting though...
A fairly good gaming PC can be built today for about $800 (maxing almost every game at 1080p with frame rates well above 30, mostly ab...
many mmos have a technological scope that isn't possible on consoles
"i didn't feel it's an rpg at all"
same, but I liked it overall anyway.
There is just something about the way the universe is presented - all the tech, species, planets etc. That just works, and it's somehow pulled off without being cheesy like it is in star wars and star trek.
But er... seeing as rpg stands for role playing game, probably like 90% of games could be called rpgs lol. ME is an action adventure game in my b...
Jade empire :D
People need to learn to read reviews properly.
I've read plenty of reviews that have not been particularly flattering about a game, movie or product but known from the reviews that the product is right for me (because I am aware that most game reviewers don't understand what they are talking about - especially when they try to talk tech).
Also, I would say that a review is a much safer way to judge a game than 200mil of aggressive marketing :/

Pretty standard. Various service providers for all sorts of things say the same thing in their terms.
Rare is just a name now. They lost like 90% of the original staff. MS broke this amazing dev.
Uhu... 360 could handly 64 players, or 256, or whatever - if a developer chooses. The game just can't be peer 2 peer. MAG on PS3 manages so many players because they dropped the quality of a lot of aspects of the game. The limitation in player count is to do with RAM, Bandwidth concerns and the number of players that can be renderd in one current OpenGL scene/fov (though I think the game would adjust quality more for those situations)
No, FF13 is the worst... followed by X-2!!
I tried playing X-2 but my memory card corrupted itself about halfway through, and I was painfully going for 100% >_<
I would rate IX as one of the "bad" ones too. VI is probably the true best, but not my fav.
"Mass Effect 2 (especially) is a perfect example of utilizing another games playbook. If you don’t see Gears of War inside Mass Effect 2 then I don’t see what game you’re actually playing. Mass Effect 2 uses the combat of Gears expertly and then adds to it with story and RPG features, but essentially the fighting is more than vaguely similar to Gears, and do you know why? Because it works. I don’t hear people whining about the similarity, because both games are great."
8 is my fav, but 10 is right up there just behind 7 for me, followed by 6.
And I have said this before. Have you played Lost Odyssey? If not, you must - if you don't have a 360 get one just to play it because it is what FF13 should have been.
Yeah the spawns are horrible. It is down to the mappers being inexperienced (also, things like stairs should have ramp geometry for the player clipping group but they dont! if you sprint into them you bounce off sometimes lol - this even affects the CPU usage of the game because it has more polygons to check in the physics engine; it all adds up). I have done quite a lot of mapping for CoD4, CSS and various Unreal Engine games so I know a fair bit about these kinds of things. (Mass Effect als...
Treyarch's playback was programmed by IW in the original engine that BO borrows (same engine as CoD 4).
IW just didn't use it on consoles because the RAM and potential backing storage limitations meant the accuracy of recording had to be low (so what you see in playback isn't an accurate representation of the gameplay itself). CoD 4 on consoles was a port from PC unlike the newer ones which were/are developed primarily for the 360.
Also, it cannot...
Chances are that your player settings are stored on Activision's central servers and the details are pulled from them by the game servers (or P2P host) that you connect to which then handle basic 'anti-cheating' (ammo, health, kill counts etc. but that is just sensible programming) and report back to the Activision servers - which is where any security problem will be (P2P host hacking like hacked MW2 lobbies or potential dedicated server hacking). I don't even know if it will...
True.
But capital punishment is a lot more expensive on the state :(
