Off topic but, FF13 makes FF12 look like a masterpiece. Not sure why so many people hate on 12 to be honest, it sucks compared to 10, 8 & 7 but it's an amazing game in its own right. Just starts off really stupid and turns most of the fans of the series away before it gets good (which it does).

Well yeah except BF3 feels horrible on consoles compared to CoD, for 60fps fans.
There is like 200ms of input lag rather than CoD's 50ms which makes a HUGE difference (except for people who 'suck' and deny the existance of input lag because they have the mortal 250ms reaction time lol). BF3 is the way to go on PC though.
I have never bought CoD DLC. Back in MW1 and WaW days I just bought the game for PC for less than the price of the DLC on 360 lol (and it came with the DLC for free). Now they are just a total rip off and it's not free on PC anymore (it was sponsored/paid for by Intel in the past, what changed?)

Halo isn't really "mainstream" because it is actually good. Infact, a masterpiece. They actually put effort into each new release and the games' quality shines every time. Halo 4 will probably be crap though, but any goodness in it comes from their ownership of the source code from Bungie's good work - not 343 Industry's efforts. They have the winning "feel" of Halo just like Activision have the winning "feel" of CoD:

I have seen youtube vids of idiots complaining that BF3 has bad reg lol, where you can clearly see their shots miss and they are shooting before the recoil has properly reset >_< BF3 infact has near enough the best hit detection I have ever witnessed. Miles better than counter strike and CoD 4/2 which were previously the most precise.

Anno 2070 sold badly because it has DRM that makes it unplayable for about half the people who buy it. At least, I was going to buy it and so were many other people posting on various forums.

Devs will just push the systems too hard again to create shinier screenshots to sell the games better (like what happens this gen).
They MUST do everything they can to ensure maximum sales numbers, because development costs are going to skyrocket even higher than they are this gen (expect $100m to be cheap in terms of development costs). So frame rate will take a back seat if they can market other stuff to its detri...
I agree that the title is just there to gain hits that it wouldn't otherwise get if it was sensibly titled.
