There should be a VERY Well Said option when bubbling someone up because that is what your response was. All I heard on this site the past several weeks is hold off until the reveal. Don't buy into the rumors like the next gen XBox not supporting used games or rentals or having to be always connected, etc and so on.
Now it's been confirmed that these rumors are mostly true and it's full blown defense mode. I am clinging to a shred of hope MS will do or announce ...
AnandTech sees things a little differently than both the PS4 and XBOX ONE are basically the same.
This quote (IMO) says it all: "The Xbox One still gives game developers a significant performance boost over the previous generation, but also attempts to widen the audience for the console. It’s a risky strategy for sure, especially given the similarities in the underlying architectures between the Xbox One and PS4. If the market for high-end game consoles has already hit i...

This is what defined the direction MS is headed vs their competitor' "quoted from the article: The Xbox One still gives game developers a significant performance boost over the previous generation, but also attempts to widen the audience for the console. It’s a risky strategy for sure, especially given the similarities in the underlying architectures between the Xbox One and PS4. If the market for high-end game consoles has already hit its peak, then M...
I think it's sad that any one from MS would make such a statement when they did not show ONE game with actual in-game graphics from a gamers perspective. Even Infinity said here is the premiere of Call of Duty Ghost using the in game graphics engine. Yeah cut scenes using the in game graphics engine which all gamers know is more polished than actual gameplay graphics. Even still they didn't look all that great. So what does that say about the actual in-game graphics? Sorry MS. I'm...
I didn't think he was anything but. I was just unspinning his wishful thinking misguided post with a dose of reality.
Uh no it didn't.
Infinity showed no actual gameplay footage. In actuality no dev or publisher showed ANY "actual" in-game footage and they "barely" showed any games at all. Their primary focus was the XBOX ONE being an entertainment hub 1st and a games console 2nd.
All I kept waiting for was just ONE game shown in real time with actual gameplay footage. Their conference yesterday was a disaster and has even the most diehard MS fans are nervous ...
Obviously.
That's okay. There is still one company that is building a cutting edge console where the gamer is their top priority.
Honestly, this is being honest and not trolling or being a fanboy. BUT do you know who says wait for E3? Those that have to cling to hope because so far their console is lacking and causing doubts. We use to hear this with Nintendo from Reggie concerning the Wii. How did that work out as far as Nintendo's once core audience? It was a drought of games most of the time.
I am holding out some "hope" MS will have a couple of intriguing surprises but not being able t...
No Gamefly = no buy.
I didn't know this tidbit of information.
Now all I have to say is MS it's been a blast but I feel we have grown apart. Good luck to you, CIAO.
Jek the problem I have is they didn't show any actual gameplay footage with ANY game. I mean seriously, WTF? Not ONE game had in game graphics from the gamers perspective. Infinity said the premier was in game graphics engine but we gamers know that the cut scenes, regardless if it's the actual graphics engine or not, is always more polished than the actual game play graphics. And to be honest, it didn't look at that great.
That presentation was rancid. EA didn...
I couldn't agree with you more. I mean no in game gameplay with ANY title. All we got was a hyperbole of what it will be without any real in depth details on nearly any aspect of the console other than multimedia implementation. The ONE thing "gamers" don't care about. It's as if our worse fears (the rumors they were heading this direction and how they finished up the last few years with the 360) are coming true.
I want MS to focus "primarily" ...
It isn't just fanboys that are disappointed but most (gaming fans, the media, stock holders... look at Sonys stock today <- think about it) that are disappointed. What MS showed today is what most of the rumors feared they were going to do.
Most people wont go out and purchase this system for those features when tablets, smart phones, laptops, broadcast receivers (Verizon, DirectV, Comcast and Dish) and smart TV's off nearly all of these features and options. New S...
Great! That means my CSR Elite wheel won't be compatible with the Xbox One. If there isn't a high end wheel available at launch I won't purchase an Xbox One out of the gate. I can't play any racing game on a controller. SIGH
What a disappointing presentation. WTF! It's like every rumor was true. They do appear to be going always on since I could not count how many times they said connected to the experience / game / entertainment. The only rumor I need to ...
When 343 Studios took the stage I was like okay, another Halo, BUT I WAS EXCITED TO SEE IT IN ACTION......than their announcement. We like to introduce Steven Spielberg, blah, blah, blah a new "Halo television show" <- W T F !!!
Things didn't get any better after that. 85% options and features for their entertainment hub and ALL CGI for their game presentations.
All I can do is hope E3 is about the actual games themselves with ACTUAL in game...
No GAMEPLAY was shown for anything. Even Infinity said here is the world premiere with in game graphics and NONE of it was from the gamers perspective. Meaning it was story line graphics and they are usually more polished than the actual in game graphics.
I guess all we can do is hope E3 will show us games in action. I was on the edge of my seat for Forza 5. I'm an anything on wheels addict. I almost threw my remote at my TV when NO actual in game graphics were shown. WT...
I take it ONE = all in one entertainment device. So far I'm SO BORED! I don't need or want an entertainment hub. I have tablets, smartphones, smart TV's (with motion controls) and even my updated Directv receiver offers apps and I CAN GET Skype on everything else.
I want games and I want to know what's under the hood for GAMING! COME ON MS SHOW US THE GOODS FOR US GAMERS!
And so it begins! *evil-grin*
Less than an hour to go. We "hopefully" will know more than.
I don't think MS will tip the hand enough to warrant which is better although I'm sure the lame stream gaming media wont let that deter them from pretending otherwise. I think we should wait until E3. That is when both MS and Sony will go in depth with their game plan for their next generation of gaming.
I have a feeling MS will get the less than popular things out of the way tomorrow to gauge how well it is received or criticized. E3 is where MS and Sony will reveal ...
They didn't show Call of Duty running side by side. They showed character model differences. Not even close to being the same. MS didn't have ONE gaming running at their reveal. Not one. It was all trailers and cutscenes. That is why people want to know about games.
And of course we are upset about rentals and used games. That means my son can't play a game I purchase unless he pays a fee to play it on his own console with his own XBL account? That's beyond ...
