Graphically? No argument here.
Gameplay? The original Horizon had excellent handling. DC being a brand new IP, even though it's made by a dev with a lot of experience, will really have to nail it even to compete with the mechanics of FH2.
Both are going to be great games along with Project Cars (which is my most overall anticipated racer this year). I'm getting all of them.

Yet last generation Aaron Greenburg blew up twitter continuously regardless of what time of the year it was over NPD numbers, spin worldwide figures with how many sniper shots were fired in COD, dlc was downloaded, hours played on XBL, etc and so on. Metacritic has always been a joke. There is no set criteria to which sites they put into their overall ratings. There are some really bad extreme bias sites that notoriously are harsh on games for no reason other than to garner attention.
There are also a lot of credible sites that write excellent reviews that aren't a part of Metacritic.

Of course you saw more of a difference with BF4 over Destiny. BF4 is a more intensive and demanding game. BF4 on the PC is a benchmark title. Along with Crysis 3. BF4 has photo realistic type graphics where as Destiny has a cartoon like appearance to it. Especially the color palette.

The PS4 is $399 without Destiny and $449 w/ Destiny. It's a $10 savings off of Destiny. That's hardly giving it away.

This generation might possibly be the worst gen for gaming reviews. Why is nearly everyone is so negative? Bungie poured their heart and soul into this new franchise of theirs. This game has had negative press before Bungie showed one second of gameplay. Why? Because they were once an MS dev that have since went mutliplat?

Played it on the X1 (GameFly) and PC (free to play on Origin for 3 days). Could've scored it for $20 bucks on Origin and I still passed on it. IMO is was the epitome of a rental.
I loved it for the first few hours and than it wore on me the more I played it. By the 3rd day I was contemplating sending it back to GF but held on to it for a few weeks. I kept going back seeing if it would grow on me, sometimes games do if I go back to them when I'm not feeling them out ...

Yeah it seems Capcom just cashed in on this one. It moves archaic. WTF with not being able to run up a windshield and on to the roof of a car. You have to jump on the roof? Silly even for a last generation title and IMO unacceptable in this new generation.
I watched this whole video and it was jittery and had panning and scaling issues. On a decent PC this game should runs flawlessly without those issues. Just another in a long line of poorly optimized games for the PC.
Graphically DC is a better looking game but PCars sets itself apart when it comes to mechanics. It's more of a sim with real world physics (mechanics and weather). It takes a lot of resources to have that level of physics in a game. PCars is trying to blur the lines between true sim with a hint of arcade.
I'm getting both. Racing far and away is my favorite genre. I can't wait. Only a month to go for DC and a month later PCars.
Even in this compressed video I had a really hard time seeing any differences at all. I'm impressed to hell that the PS4 is pulling this off without a hiccup. I have a higher end PC and thought this was one game I would have to bypass the PC to get the best gaming experience. After seeing this side by side comparison I'm definitely penciling this one in for the PS4 and the PC now.
