I've been saying this for years. Once I got my first wheel I became on anything on wheels addict. There is nothing in gaming that gives you the level of immersion of racing a wheel.

WARNING
Purchasing a wheel can be as addicting as crack for some. I started with a wheel 10 years ago and now I have a room in my home dedicated to gaming but built around my racing rig. No more wheel mounted to a desk or ironing board, or using tv sound. That s...

Sony WHAT?

Sony isn't using DRM.

You don't have to have the PSeye connected for the PS4 to work.

You can game offline with the PS4 and they don't require a constant internet connection. This whole 24 hour authorization is just a nonsensical way of saying you need a constant connection. Who turns on their gaming console every single day? I'm as hardcore gamer as one can be but I do have a life outside of gaming and go days i...

MS needs to stop the hyperbolae and have a representative of their company sit down with a responsible (if they can find one) member of the media. Give flat out straight answers to ALL the questions and concerns consumers have regarding the XBOX ONE. Until then STFU because all we hear is filler and noise.

All of these "we need to do a better job of getting our message across" is pure nonsense. I said it before and will keep saying it, "It's not the messeng...

yeah I think Codemasters really nailed the sense of speed, handling, excellent controls and near perfect blend of blurring the lines between sim and pure arcade.

This is one of those titles I will play over and over again trying to perfect my lap times. I love me some sims but these styles of games are more fun to play on my rig. Going balls to the wall with your hair on fire, turning with the backend out kicked out trying to maintain grip. It's crazy addicting.

I might be one of the few but I actually like 2 but than the original. The driver is better on my wheel and I used the same wheel with the same settings for both games.

It handles like a dream and is an absolute blast to play. I just wish there was more modes, cars and tracks to choose from. I hope Codemasters makes GRID 3 for the next generation of consoles. I can't get enough of this game. The sense of speed is amazing.

PS4 is more powerful than the X1

Digital Distribution, if it was to be come the norm, would cost 1000x more jobs lost than used games vs publishers/developers jobs lost.

Comparing Steam to the direction consoles might head isn't a good analogy. I see a lot of people doing this both in the media and on forums. The majority of games are cheaper on Steam. Plus they run specials daily. I can purchase games on Steam for $5 (sometimes cheaper). Most of the game...

@Fatality

With a name like Fatality "FLAWLESS VICTORY" would've been so much better. ;)

On topic:
And this is how Sony rolls. This late into the cycle of their console, with the next iteration (PS4) right around the corner and they have another brand new block buster IP being released. Simply amazing. That's how you take care of your consumer base.

I personally cant see MS debunking anything. I think most of their time will be focused on the what the XBOX ONE will do and not what it wont do. E3 is a presentation not a debate. They have a PR department to field, or in most cases side step the negative with positive spin, hardware and policy questions and concerns.

MS probably feels they are only hurting themselves with a portion of the hardcore and some of mainstream gamers. They think they will give in and purchase an X...

I have a couple friends that buy Forza just to paint and they are crazy good at it. I can't draw worth a damn in Forza. I don't know how any of these guys pull off such amazing art work.

Dimensions:
XBOX 0NE = ( 340 x 85 x 250mm )
XBOX 360 S = ( 270 x 75 x 264mm )
PS3 SLIM = ( 290 x 65 x 290mm )

The XBOX ONE is wider and taller. Than only dimension it's smaller is depth. When placed in an entertainment center or on a shelf the X1 looks significantly bigger than an XBOX SLIM or PS3 SLIM.

Myers, could you possibly be any more insecure? My XBL account info - BoodyBandit. Look up my account on MS and tell me how I'm some random hater when I have purchased every COD game this and last generation.

People like you that automatically equate any criticism to as just being haters or fanboys of the opposition, are the problem on sites such as N4G. If you don't have anything constructive to add to a conversation do us all a favor and don't hit reply.

In other words Activision is too damn cheap and greedy to invest any of the billions of dollars the COD series has made them to build or purchase a new engine for the next generation of COD gamers.

The COD fan base deserves better than this. They should be getting the best possible game Activision, Infinity Ward and Treyarch can put together. Instead they are getting the same old Quake engine with slight modifications. Sad.

Good review.
I appreciate the honesty right from the start (not being an avid race fan) and detailed review. The only thing I might critique you on is that the GRID series isn't trying to be a simulator. The only simulator Codemasters makes is F1 series.

GRID and DIRT blur the lines between sim and arcade like the Project Gotham series. That's why I personally love Codemaster games and miss PGR.

Don't get me wrong. I love sims the most b...

@shinrock

Not sure what you're getting at but I don't see Hollywood or music entertainment industries implementing fees and restrictions on the used and rental business and they seem to be doing fine. The same should ring true in the gaming industry.

If I'm not sold on a game by information I have gathered or the demo provided? I simply rent the game. If the game suits my needs. I buy it. If not I move on to the next one.

From what's been reported the achievements and trophies will carry over so I would assume PS+ & XBL subscriptions will as well.

AGREED

And therefore the solution should be to just leave it alone. Make this generations policy next generations policy. Let the CONSUMER decides how they obtain the games they play (new, used or rent).

No one thought MS wouldn't support them.
It's the probable (have to assume since they STILL wont give a straight answer) fee that's the problem.

To game on their current console I have to pay for a broadband connection (Comcast) and pay MS directly for XBL. It will most likely be the same with the X1 with used and rental games. Pay a fee to purchase used games or rental fee (Gamefly or what not) and then pay MS directly to authorize the ability to use the ...

He didn't answer his question because it's a troll account and he is just trying to get attention. Just hit the ignore button. Why give him what he craves?

Uncharted 2 put Naughty Dog at the top of the list of elite developers. So normally they will attract attention from the, well you know, aka characters like golding.
