Is it cause they can't sell their products at normal retailers as well? -that's pretty desperate
because that's the logic you use with the 360...
these are companies are after $$$$ they don't care about "brand loyalty" if shareholders say "hey we can make another million or 2 from bringing it to another platform", they will. same goes for lost planet/dead rising, These days, 3rd party exclusive seems to mean"exclusive for now"
The only titles that will truly be exclusive will be the titles done by MS, sony, nintendo themselves. So you will probably see them start buying up 3rd party develope...

if you actually bothered to read it, it's actually a quote from IGN and their ps3 hands on...but of course most didn't bother to read it, you just saw something negative about the ps3, and opened the gaping wound that is the sony fanboy mouth. Kotaku just made fun of it, which is what they do to everything, as that is the type of site they are.

you just about had a sensible intelligent comment till you added the bit about the 360...so close, yet so far.
MS did turn their back on the xbox too quickly, there is no denying it. They also weren't making money on, so I can kind of see their reasoning behind it. Sony was actually making money on the ps2, so that's why they kept at it(since they definitely won't be making any with the ps3 anytime soon).
But after playing good games on my 360, I will not go back...
psp was too expensive, umd's were too.
all of it is only as good as the software that's made for it.
The entertainment division as a whole lost that amount, granted the 360 likely made up the bulk of it, but is not all of it.
MS will do whatever it takes to win this fight, as the future for the winner looks quite profitable, MS has pretty much an unlimited cash supply(bill by himself is worth somewhere around 40 billion).

Eurogamer laid it out pretty clearly, not thammer, or the mart.
They were at both events, and their people thought the 360 had the better showing. they didn't say the ps3 sucks or anything, they were just expecting more from Sony at what was supposed to be THEIR event.

I was expecting more, they seem to have a lot of stuff that is good, which makes it way better than ps2, but XBL seems still to be way ahead.
which is dissapointing, cause if sony was as good as live for free, then MS would lower the price. damn.
not being able to leap back and forth from the menu while in game? this better change, otherwise, it's a waste.
the MS blogger said they would have smarter to buy the company that does xfire, or make their own software for this. rather then have to pay them(xfire) whatever fees they charge(I can guarantee xfire is not giving it for free). makes sense since the big thing sony does not have right now is money.

you are welcome to your opinion, but the fact that halo was one of the most popular games of all time on a console that sold 1/4 of the amount of ps2's speaks volumes.
get over it, there will be great games on both consoles, just go with the one that has the games you want and try not to put down other systems because it inflames your fanboy ego.
