Everyone I talk to is planning on getting one but waiting for gears.
I played a few games and turned off the rumble...it wasn't huge...but it definitely felt like something was missing.
they need a hunting game where you play as vice president cheney and you shoot your friends in the face.

20 vs 20, I wanted to see how that looks.
sony barely had online until live came out, so few games that supported, different for every game.
It was basically like it had the ability, but the end user and the developer had to do the rest.
XBL is the standard to which Sony + Nintendo's online services will be compared with, and it's one tough standard to get to.
Best of luck to them, cause if sony can actually make something like XBL and it's free, I will be quite happy as MS will obviously...
you guys must love being wrong, halo 2 after almost 2 years out still has almost 40,000 people online at any given time(as the time i'm writing this, it's almost 39000) www.bungie.net for proof.
and that is on a console that sold 1/4 the amount of ps2's. So more people are playing halo2 online and paying for it than are playing socom for free...nuff said.
I don't go nutz for them, but seeing that little achievment unlocked is quite nice.
some people live by it, and through the various online leaderboards, you can see who is the leader in carious games as well, they can also be viewed by country which is nice too.
there are a few gamercard stat sites out there, all with nice data about gamerscores/achievements.

This is what they may be in trouble for. In the business world the difference between not telling the whole truth (exclusive till next year) and telling a LIE (HDDVD required for games...
Sony did cross the line with that in saying it's required...not a good move.
It's OK for sites to do the comparisons, but when a competitor does it...well, it's not good.
cause I want MS to make theirs free, and if they do this half-assed and charge for demos and nickle and dime people to death, then MS won't change their price.
You have gotten most of the hits from the old arcade, move onto better XBLA stuff. I wanna see more XNA developed stuff, and next gen arcade titles, these ports pretty much blow.
I notice she didn't say they will be providing a FREE exchange service. and if they do, it will be another way for sony to lose money.
I guess waiting for 3rd party controllers will be the best bet.
at first I was worried about this game being able to live up to the hype, but after seeing all these in game foortage clips, my mind is at ease.
a definite buy, and sure to be the first big "killer app" for the 360.
