you've never seen people playing video games in a TV show?
don't watch much TV do you?
I think he means 1080P being the requirement for true HD(obviously it's not) and blu-ray being a requirement to get next gen games(again, obviously not)
is still just rumour.
and they said it's "not needed" not they wouldn't do it. there is no lie in that, games look great in 720p/1080i, but now the 1080p option is there too.
that was funny:)
sorry, it's taking over moron.
the RIAA dismissed digital(mp3's) in the 90's and looki where it got them.
some learn from others mistakes, others have to wait to make them themselves.
developers are not to impressed with sony right now. Then add the small install base to try and make a profit with, and you can see why devs aren't lining up to go to the ps3, or at least offering exclusives to them, hence why most next gen games are being made for the 360, and then ported to the ps3. This is at least guaranteees a profit.
but motion sensing is a complete waste of time.
sure you may say current motion control technology is messy in general, doesn't change the fact that sony and nintendo used it, and the fact that it may not be ready yet, makes me question further the intelligence of those who decide to put it in their consoles?
either way, most of the people I talk to just turn it off.
If only their way some way to make the joystick vibrate when you get shot, or whe...
want to get your girl into games, BUY THE SIMS.
I mean seriously, what do women love more than micro-managing someone else's life?
on it's way very soon:)
DVD playback in a game console...that is so next gen!!!!!
seriously, the wii is looking less and less interesting as time goes on.
on a side note, my kid just tried it out over the weekend(he's 5 1/2) and in the middle of the store he yells "this is stupid" and no longer wants one for his birthday. lol!
another big kudos goes out to sony's marketing folks.
having a great title, with great graphics, but don't let anyone see it. I wonder why other marketing teams have not picked up on this brilliance yet?
show some vids, and let they hype build itself.
having to wait till summer to play would have made me angry...and you don't want to see me angry!
;)
But I don't see what people are freaking out about, it was a 3 second clip of one of those pre-rendered "push button here" sequences.
seriously, if the game is that good, why are they not releasing more "in game" footage to hype it up? I mean when gears was coming there was so much in game released, nobody could doubt it.
It looks like it could be a great game, but I will need to see more than that to judge it properly.
is exactly what this game should have had on release, dunno why it wasn't.
so because peter moore says something you deem as a mistake or stupid, people shouldn't by microsoft products.
If that was true there would not be a single ps3 sold to date as sony execs have said some of the stupidest things EVER.
"gamers don't want rumble"
"the shortages will be fixed soon"
"the next generation doesn't start till we say so"
"yes, this killzone trailer IS in game"
the list ...
consumers aren't choosing hddvd, or blu ray. the sales for both formats suck.
consumers are chosing neither, DVD sales + digital distribution is kicking the crap out of both formats.
a great reason as to why both formats will fail.
the digital medium is just too damn convenient.
if killzone was all they had to go up against halo2, they may as well throw in the towel now, killzone sucked and got 6's and 7's from the reviews, while halo2 got 9's and 10's.
killzone 2 looked kinda cool, but all we saw was that "in game footage" from E3.
they will need more than that to take on halo3.
If MS drops the price next fall (right around halo3 GTA IV time) and sony does not they could be in BIG trouble.
if this is their vision then they are toast.
the hardware will be out of date in 5.
