how much longer do we have to put up with this junk being news?
nothing with gaming or tech.
it's funny how fanboys are each spinning this in favour of their console.
"cause ps3 is so much more powerful"
"cause xbox was meant for games"
the creator of folding@home is just trying to call out MS with some creative reverse psychology to try and get them to do it. the systems are pretty equally powerful, and after seeing how much effect the ps3 has had his service, he's figuring 4-5 million 360's would help out too.

that's just funny:)
won't be bothering with this game
from PSM uk...that's just sad.
oblivion was 6 gig's with plenty to spare.
this seems to be about as fair and balanced news as fox news.
why not ask the people at xbox mag about the ps3? DUH
maybe ask the oil companies what the think about the future of the fuel cell? or their honest opinion of if they are polluting the environment?
good read:)
he will surely go down as one of the biggest and most influencial gaming people of all time.
someone wil do it.
just freaking disgusting...
NOT NEWS.
Sony seems to be out to prove wrong the "ain't no such thing as bad publicity" saying...
sony did used to be the king of electronics, but they have fallen off in the last 5-10 years. they are starting a comback as they're TV's are selling well again, obviosly the ps 1+2 were very successful. but everything else they seem to be playing catchup.
Alot of their electronics have gone nowhere, their version of mp3(aacs? I think) failed miserably, so now they are a middle player in the mp3 market. Their computers/laptops are not even on the radar(vaio is not bad, but the ...
you can slice and dice vista anyway you want, almost 5 billion dollars in 1 quarter is GOOD NEWS.
and people were worried about the games divsion loosing almost 5 billion in 5-6 years, MS makes that up in 1 quarter...lol. fools.
so why are people not comparing this to how sony did? then keep flaming each other.
and as far as the 360 goes, shareholders will not say much, as they stated on launch that their plan is to start turning profits on it in 2008, so it is as was expected.
shareholders will see their dividend on the 4 billion the company made as a whole, and won't care about much else...
and let's not forget, hddvd's being made now are actually backwards compatible, so you can still watch the regular dvd from the same disk in your old player. it just seems like such a consumer friendly, easy upgrade path, where as with bluray, if I want to watch a movie at my friends place, or on any other tv, I need a bluray player for every tv. that's annoying IMO.
don't get me wrong, I still think both formats are junk, and digital distribution is the far superior method. b...
did you think he would release all the secrets they were planning on doing?
ok lair devs, you're trying to promote it, we get it, enough already:)
They will get huge game sales regardless of when they launch. so he said if they did it in sept then they could do a second launch for xmas, and make more $$.
it doesn't take much to figure that if they think they can make more money by launching in sept, and make more money off of it, they will be pushing to have it done by then.
maybe i'm reading between the lines, but when $$$ are involved, it seems like a good estimate:)
shane kim was hinting they may be pushing for a sept release.
way to go jack, you lawyer buddies must look up to you:)
now sony joins MS in gougin for downloadables.
welcome to horsearmour land.
bring it to freaking canada already!!!
