who would have thought this would have the sony trolls out in full force. way to lose those bubbles boys:) you prove why there should just be a zero bubble option as some of the comments here are so far below stupid there is not even a word for it yet.
how threatened sony fanbots feel by an article like this is just further proof of how arcurate the article is, and how good a game/series halo really is.
people can not like halo all they want, and that's just the...
the tech is in the disc, it still reads using a red laser. if anything maybe just a software update.
I also remember reading that they could do high def of these discs, just it would be limited to 720P (still fine IMO) but that would definitely require a sofware update to all dvd players, still a nice thought though, getting high def, without need a new player. the gen public would be all over that instead of these 2 new useless formats.
sony won't let anyone else make money on their console until they are actually making money off of it.
and even then, they are only talking about only letting you use it to buy more sony stuff which cost them peanuts anyway.
not a bad idea, however I would much rather get some of the 600$ back and chose what I want to spend it on.
and I find it funny that you still think the ps3 and bluray(or the 360) will still be current in 5 years.
both these consoles are moot and out of date by 2010. planning to last to 2015 is retarded.
who the hell needs blu-ray or hddvd for storage when TERABYTE drives are already hitting the market? discs are dead in the very near future. how big do you think drives will be in a few years? prototype petabyte drives will be out in a year or 2.
sony ...
splinter cell DA comes to mind.
if bluray was an option, as it is certainly not a necessity for gaming, especially now that quad-layer dvd's are coming.
bluray is only necessary if you are trying to basically just make a playable CG movie(like a lot of japanese dev are attempting)
if you go the smart/efficient route, and just use a great engine with good middleware, and good compression, then you can make a huge game without any size issues. (oblivion is a great example of a HUGE game for under...
?
I think that's exactly what they're doing. that's what i'd do.
maybe sony could ask for MS's help in making it possible:)
they have quite a bit more up their sleeves, but they don't want any of it to overshadow what's coming in '07(i dunno if it could, 07 is looking to be one of the most stellar years ever).
I could be wrong, but that's what i'd do if I were them.
is what i'm waiting for, but I think MS has put plenty of effort into PR for their other titles as well.
but seriously, when you have something that is going to be as big as halo3(and it will be HUGE, regardless of was ps3bots think) why not ride the publicity wave?
they would just be stupid not too.
tired of racing games.
you can always tell who the retarded sony fanboys are. way to give up bubbles though:)
looks like a lot of fun, can't wait to play the beta soon.
the youtube vids are such crappy quality. I mean the company wants to take the time to capture these beautiful screens, why not capture some of the game and send it out?
I mean if it looks as good as these screens show, then that'll pretty much sell the game? it's basically free publicity.
if the in game screenshots looks this good, why not release some in game footage to help build the hype?
seems to make sense to me?
at least the xbox fanboys could do it in game.
(lol, sorry, couldn't resist)
:)
if it's not regarding the halo 3 beta, I'm going to kill a baby chicken.
then MS and bungie can live with that on their conscience.
(j/k)
how do you know it's going to suck and load times will be terrible before it's out?
I don't see why people are comparing home to XBL. they don't seem to have much to do with each other.
If I just want to sit down, and play a multiplayer match, I don't see how home is going to miraculously change that, and if I had to load up home, just to join a match, I would be extremely annoyed, so hopefully that's not the case.
they are just different services, not knocking either one, both great in their own aspect. XBL = good for games, home = good for soc...
kinda funny, gamers in here agree it's a good article, sony fanboys do nothing but bash it.
tells me it's a quality article that made some good points:)
i'm directing it at the sony fanbots cause they are the ones IN THIS THREAD. thanks for paying attention though.
I don't approve of xbox people doing it either(although they are not MY fanbots as you say, they speak of their own free will). if fanboys(of any console) have no useful comments to say, go make love to you precious console, and get of these boards.
If you think what I said deserves your vote for losing a bubble, then you are even more pathetic than yo...
