250 bones for a used console isn't that bad, I think 300$ and they would have sold me. what bugs me is they only are giving 30$ more for a HDD they charge 120$ for.
good they admitted to it, bad that it took them so long.
timing however could have been crucial for MS to admit this. it's sure not something you would do when your competitors are launching, and during xmas.
sales are slow, mainstream media is looking elsewhere so most casual gamers/soon to be xmas 07 buyers will likely never hear this news.

the ps3 needs some killer apps like yesterday.
and the comments haven't turned completely flammable.
although I think the comment about companies wanting to make it on the ps3 first and then porting to the 360 is wrong.
that's how this company is doing it, but most companies will think profit first, and develop for the system that is cheapest to develop for first, and then try and port it to save $$$$. so unless sony comes up with a way that makes it easier to develop for than the 360, they are going to conti...

the ps3 can do well, assuming their execs can shut their mouths long enough not to keep pissing off the press.(and i hope they do well, cause we know what a microsoft world without competition goes). but to say they could do it in a year is being super duper incredibly optimistic.

ubisoft sucks, they are MS fanboys, they did it deliberatly, they needed more time, they are lazy programmers, you just wait till MGS and kill zone are out, gears sucks.
that should save the fanboys some posts.
I never ran into any lag playing halo2, but the cheating became so rampant that it made me pretty much give up the game. although I still got a year and a half of playing out of it.
some of my buds say it's gotten much better, and most of the cheaters are gone, but COD3, crackdown and GH2 are my current drugs of choice.
