one of the other neighborhood kids bought one, and they were crazy for it...for about a month and a half. then it got boring, and they started playing their GC games on it more than anything else.
as for what games they play, they are really into nhl '08, rock band and halo 3.

I don't know how much I believe the "shortages" that MS is reporting, but now that I think about it, I am in the market to buy a second 360 and was not able to find a premium or elite all january. of course there were arcade versions everywhere, but let's be honest who cares about the arcade? good job on the arcade price dro pin japan though MS, should make a HUGE difference.
secondly bluray was all over the news in january which would have given the bluray driven ps3...

but I would find it a big deal. not so much the install, but the fact that I have no choice. and then if I upgrade my HDD I have to do it all over again? it's not a big deal, but it's annoying none the less.
I think they should have given people the option install it or not. other games give you the choice and there is little to no complaints about it.
Cod 4 is a great example, I mean sure there is bullet holes, but the entire strategy of a multyplayer game would change with destructible environments and make the game fresh and different every time.
I can see your point about changing the story line, but then again, as games get closer to realsism, it only makes sense to have DE. let the player attack/move how they want, and so linear.
