179$ is the idiot price, and there are idiots out there, and all companies take advantage of them, and they always will, that's why they are successful companies.
the smart person can pick up a 500 gig USB drive for roughly 100-130$ and plug it in to the 360 and voila.
other smart people can buy the 5-10$ adapter that's available online, and buy a laptop HDD and stick in the xbox HDD case and upgrade that way.
both incredibly easy to do, and very cheap...
"Nintendo is staging Wii shortage to feed popularity hype and inflate stock"
well d'uuuuuuhhhhhhh...
neither is acceptable in this day and age...
but in all fairness they make fun of the subject in family guy all the time (the old neighbor with the high voice)
so glad we are approving forum posts now...
could we pls have the people who approved this lise their contributor status?
why bother?
but it's right on, this does give nutcases like JT all the ammo they need.
and all it will take is some kid getting their hands on, and the whole video game industry will be shot back to the dark ages. because of course, it's their fault for making a game that caters to their demographic (males aged 18-40).
It certainly cannot be the parents fault who bought their 13 yr old the game...
I think a lot of people will buy the 360 version specifically because of the content, but most of those people are hardcore gamers who already have their console/consoles.
But I also think that it will help move more ps3's as many people are waiting for this game to upgrade their ps2's.
although i'm sure the fanboys have already notice the millions of difference and why "theirs" is better...
exclusive to 360 or not.
I'm speechless.
but you're right, I mean adding online to games that didn't have it, but should have.
halo combat evolved comes to mind:)
what good is telling us about a glitch that has worked in 2 years?
why not report on cheat codes for halo 1 while were at it?
I would replay some of these games if there was online and achievements to go with it.
I'll wait till it's not from a sony hating website before approving.
suddenly feeling old, although not all apply to me
the golden age of gaming, yup, those were the days!!
playing an asteroids type game from a cartridge insterted into my vic20 playing on a black and white TV. in my defense I was like 5 at the time:)
summer games on my commodore 64!!!
but looks like it will be ultimately useless.
if they could finally solve their reliability issues, they could enjoy greater success.
hopefully the new 360's have solved that issue, and I guess we'll see as people play GTA IV for hours and hours straight.
first off you didn't say their games division, you said MS.
secondly their games division is making a profit now(even though as a whole are still the red, won't argue that with you) however they started making a profit 2 quarters before they predicted they would, and that's with an extra projected billion dollar cost of the RROD.
did they take a hit to break into the industry? yup. does it look like a mistake now? their investors don't think so, and somehow forbe...
360 has a great lineup, but ps3 has some of it's killer apps this year.
man, '07 and '08 have been some of the best gaming years I've had so far.
