@r21.
Nah. as SP it sucked pretty hard too.
Less enemies on screen at a time, dumbed down gunplay and first person animations. A lame 'Brutal' melee system that just turns melee into a one hit kill panic button. Weak, lame and done to death scripted and on-rails events you could sleep through whilst having the button taped down. Even the stealth level is on rails - there's only one way to play it. Don't forget the crap story that tried so hard...
I hope Guerrilla don't. They don't have a good track record. They completely screwed up killzone with killzone 3 by pandering to the casuals.
Unless KZ4 is a proper hardcore shooter again, I'd prefer if ND did it with support from Insomniac.
I enjoyed R3 an awful lot. R:FOM and R3 were the best in the series, though R2 wasn't bad, it felt rushed and unfocused compared to RFOM and R3.
R3 was the best PS3 shooter last year. They realised their mistakes with R2, listened to the fans and gave us a more focused and more polished game that did the series justice. An excellent title for people who wanted fast paced, old school arcade shooter with some contemporary additions that didn't break the gameplay. It'...
I can not wait for this game. Totally importing the US version as I'm guaranteed to get TM:B uncut. Back in the old days, TM:B was cut for Europe so that you could not run over flaming enemies after destroying their ride and the CGI prologues and epilogues were cut. It completely ruined story mode.
That said. So many good memories playing TM:B with friends. I expect this to be no different.
It doesn't mean it will be good and free of bugs and cheats.
Activision's devs have repeatedly shown they are incapable of developing a polished game with even the simplest of mechanics.
It will stay this way unless they actually take the time to do proper betas.
Also, who cares. COD only caters to the lowest common denominator.
All those extra modes won't matter. All those people care about is death match/ team d...
That wasn't a mistake at all. I love my PS3 and I prefer console gaming over PC.
But this game needs PC to be lead platform. Not only is it where the franchise began, but PCs are so much more capable than consoles and the gap between PC and consoles will only widen over the next 12 months when Skyrim comes out and the new CPU architectures and 28nm process GPUs come out. These new chipsets will be more efficient and powerful performance wise.
The reality ...
I never had to agree to new terms either except for my US account. I didn't have to download any firmware either.
They haven't taken away an individual's right to sue. No ones rights in a legal sense has been affected.
People should not let this sway them. Just buy the game and enjoy it.
No matter how it looks everything else is the same. If you want a game that takes skill to shoot things and isn't designed for scrubs, then just buy this game and support real FPS games. Seriously, FPS games have become more of a joke than ever before and I hope BF3 and Bioshock Infinite will inspire devs to at least create FPS games that are unique again.
I'll probably buy 2 copies...
They did have reasons...even though they were completely stupid and misguided reasons.
It seemed the guy was really bothered with no regenerating health. What a wuss aye!
I don't watch good game enough to say that they're terrible...I guess they're pretty inconsistant though.
I'd rather spend $1500 for a pc and a ps4 than bother with cloud gaming. On live doesn't have exclusive titles like playstation or xbox. Also, not all countries have good network infrastructure.
Can we walk and aim now? Or will that BS affect how "intense" and "scary" the game is supposed to be?
And can we go back to zombies, having less ammo, and a story that isn't cheesy because CAPCOM thinks people doing ninja flips everywhere as people who are way too big, or are just a pair of tits on legs, snap infected peoples necks makes for good survival horror.
These games were so much better when they were more grounded. But then, t...
well whats to disagree with?
KZ2 had better set pieces and more enemies on the screen. There's nothing in KZ3 that had my heart going as when you had to kill that ATAC on the roof or when you were defending Visari Square.
KZ3 held the gamers hand through everything with loads of scripted and on-rails events that were poorly designed. Only a monkey would still find that kind of "variety" amusing. The last level was boring as hell. All you had to ...
@nano88
You clearly don't know jack shit, if you think these franchises are alike.
I don't care which one you prefer, but please, avoid saying stupid things.
This africangamer website is trash.
I'm yet to play an FPS on this generation of console that is anywhere near as immersive as KZ2 is. KZ3 is pretty shit though. It's as if the devs went out of their way to make it as generic and casual as possible.
Excellent AI, gun mechanics, art direction. Really sucked you into this massive universe they created. And you can almost feel the impact of every bullet.
Yeah it was a slower game than us...
Boo hoo. If I want it then I guess I'll just have to import it like I did with Mortal Kombat. And I'll save money!
I'm so glad of this.
It keeps them as a support role and it means they actually need to have skill.
In real life people wearing armour can withstand a sniper shot to the chest.
The rest of the info pleases me.
I don't mind the shaky running. I think it's something that can potentially make the game more immersive. I don't like how all FPS games are endeavouring to have quick kills though. Man the genre is stifled...
I won't pass judgement on the MP until I've played the beta. I just hope the Single Player is good unlike KZ3 which was a huge disappointment.
I've been watching it on the news for pretty much the whole day. It's disheartening what's happening to people's lively hoods. Their stores and houses are getting burnt down.
Kinda makes me ashamed of being human.
There was footage of one kid who was almost knocked out. Helped up only to have some other SOB open up and steal stuff out of his backpack. He couldn't do anything because he was really disoriented.
That's ju...
Meh. To hell with Capcom. They've clearly lost the plot and it looks like they're trying to emulate those crappy paul ws anderson movies. Maybe if we want RE games to be good again, everyone should avoid watching that crap.
I'm not picking up street fighter x tekken either as they'll just release another one 6 months later.
And the way they handle and price DLC is bloody ridiculous.
