KZ2 was way better. Rico wasn't turned into a pansy. KZ3's story was pretty boring and didn't really develop anything. One of many examples: Rico kills visari and nothing happens with that. He doesn't even get a moment where he redeems himself with the ISA. Much prefered him in KZ1 and KZ2. He has strong reasons for his abrasive behaviour towards the Helghast, but we atleast see that he cares about his friends and at least with them, he's likeab...

i want it on ps4. but they need to bring back and expand upon the depth of KZ2's gameplay and mp. hopefully with the success of bf3 we wont get a watered down game like kz3 where the last level is a scripted on rails level requiring no skill at all. Not to mention all the other on rails levels and the poorly conceived stealth level.

it should also focus on the horrors of war and not be a cliche'd hollywood movie where aload of scripted explosions is confused for inten...

Agreed. It's not a perfect game, but it does provide a different experience compared to most of it's competitors. The review scores below 50% really is unwarranted and should be for games that are completely terrible by design to the point where they are unplayable and broken. It's really a solid game and is worth at least a 7/10 in my opinion.

It's funny that some of the complaints boil down to it isn't 'Hollywood' and accessible enough.

They shouldn't dumb it down. It has been argued and has shown to do nothing but hurt a franchise. Many fps games, new and well established, the new ones were dispose able and the fans of established franchises just feel burned because of a dev or publisher wanting a quick and easy buck. Look at resistance 2 and killzone 3. Far from the success of their other entries and forgettable as they were stripped of what made them memorable and were dumbed down. There are many more examples if you ...

I'm enjoying this game a lot more than I thought I would. Even before some of the bad reviews came pouring in. Reading some of the reviews, I was expecting the worst whilst waiting to receive my order. The prologue of the game was very uninspiring and left my first impression wanting, but after that, the game goes off and is at the moment one of the best SP modes I've played in a military FPS.

I don't like real world based military FPS. Usually, the AI in these ga...

I don't like them because they're inconsistent. They marked Resistance 3 down because it didn't have regenerating health. That was seriously an issue to the guy and I couldn't help but think "Man the f*** up"

It was a better show when they still had that other guy and didn't have that stupid robot. Now the show is just as annoying as those videogame shows where the reporters sound like they're from Entertainment Tonight and E! which are also ...

PS3 and 360 games didn't look any better than their PS2/ Xbox versions on launch day because multi-core cpus and the overall architecture of the consoles was new. Though games built from the ground up on those launch titles weren't as good as what we can get on these systems now, they were clearly next-gen and showed what the hardware was capable of.

The same can not be said of the Wii U. It uses a multi-core Power PC CPU and a Radeon chip like the 360. Nothing new to...

To say that this looks inferior to current gen simply because it is a 'lazy' port is just blind wishful thinking or idiotic.

The reason early 360/PS3 games looked no better than their PS2/XBOX companions, because those were lazy ports as there was very little done on optimizing code for the THEN new architectures and multicore CPUs.

The Wii U has a Power PC processor and a Radeon GPU. At the very least, the architecture is no different to that of a 36...

Yeah. I hope that it is but one of many options available for people who want to play games.

Easy. Through a lot of compromises and short cuts and Nintendo is no stranger either. I mean they did admit to not including princess daisy or whatever in a Mario game because they would need to write more code for her skirt. They said it themselves that games will drop in frame rate with more than 1 pad. If its not frames then its detail. It's not like it would take a great deal of resources to display something that amounts to a standard definition inventory screen to begin with. Again,...

Wow WrAiTh. Really Analytical. Why buy new hardware that's only as powerful as the consoles we have now? And don't spout that 'but its new hardware' BS. The Wii U is old tech. There's nothing new about it. Otherwise Nintendo would be happy to release proper specs.

The only clowns I see are the nintendrones harping on the other fanboys and thinking that they only care about violent fps games when other platforms just offer so much more in terms of core titl...

I don't know how this can steal the show.

There's nothing wrong with FPS games. It's just that the genre is overcrowded and with many mediocre games that often overshadow better fps games from smaller/ newer franchises.

From the gameplay shown, nothing stood out in terms of AI/ physics or anything. It all looked heavily scripted. I am interested in the game but I see no reason to buy this at full price and will likely pick up something else.

I don't think we'll see the last console generation come for a long time.

Internet services in many countries including Australia, where I live, have crap internet. So streaming will not do.

Yes, distribution methods will change, but I don't think streaming games will be good enough for a lot of gamers. Console manufacturers will just place greater emphasis on greater hard drive capacity and digital distribution. Streaming games of any kind will p...

Saying that the hardware is new is not an excuse. It uses a similar processor to the 360. This isn't some fancy new and intricate to program for architecture. It's a 4 core power pc for crying out loud
You people need to get your minds out of 2006 lol.
Also with how small the console is, it would either have low TDP, slow or a noisy as hell fan to stop the components from melting.

If anything there's no excuse for the Wii U not looking better.

5109d ago 5 agree5 disagreeView comment

Lol. I get a few disagrees but no intelligent rebuttal. I guess there's truth to what I said.

Also keep in mind that this system isn't some crazy new architecture that is going to take a long time for developers to master. It's similar to the 360. There's not a lot to learn, so you're not going to see anything that's noticeably better than what were getting now if at all.

I'm not bashing the Wii U, but Nintendo are in a really tight spot.

I just find it endlessly amusing how people bicker over the specs trying to argue that the WiiU is more powerful than the PS3 or 360. 6 year old hardware. With a small console and a paltry sized fan. The Wii U will have low total draw power or be loud as hell. No way this is going to be noticeably more powerful. If you need to rely on a site like Lens of Truth zooming into a few pixels to see the differen...

I agree. but it's probably because they offered some kind of deal if they got the CPU and GPU from AMD.

For me it would be ideal if they went with a stripped down GTX 680 chip. With the PS3 they used a stripped down 6800/7800...don't really remember.

The fusion APUs are currently a disappointment and seem to be aimed at the low end of the computer market. Rumours are that dev kits will be updated with the much better Trinity APUs once they're out....

I would rather have at least 4GB. They can probably get away with it if they decide to go with the GDR and XDR RAM in the PS3 which is clocked high and has low latency, but I'd still be comfortable if it were 4GB

I hope it's not a fusion AMD processor. I think other rumours suggest that those are only for early dev kits, but they will be updated with better specs like the trinity chip set from AMD that will be a better reflection of what the final retail PS4 will be l...
